⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5/5

I visited Fontana Pho yesterday for lunch and overall had a good experience. We ordered the mixed fried rice and the chicken noodles with vegetables. The fried rice was quite good. The noodles had a slight fishy smell, which I’m guessing came from fish oil, but the dish was still fine and we enjoyed the meal.

The staff were very friendly, always smiling, and well-behaved. Inside the restaurant everything looked clean and well kept. The only thing that could be improved is the area outside the entrance, which wasn’t very clean.

For two people, the cost was around 40–60 dollars, which felt reasonable for the portion and service. Overall, a decent place for a simple lunch with good people and okay food.

Staff treated me very warmly and welcomed me as soon as I entered. New renovations are stunning and fresh to look at! My fried rice and pho were hot, fresh, and delicious

The atmosphere is great. I’ve been sitting here for like 10 minutes. No one’s come up to me. Ask me if I want anything
I wouldn’t know what the food tastes like. Didn’t get to taste it but that’s about it
So far several employees I walked by have not asked any questions or said anything. I’m about to walk out this place sucks

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good: well kind of good it’s under new ownership the food is still good but the previous owner food was much better that being said I will still come back. Now let’s get into the food

Appetizer A1. Shrimp spring rolls, egg rolls, and fried shrimp rolls: Spring rolls filled with Roman lettuce, noodles, shrimp and wrapped with rice paper a thin skin to hold together super delicious the proper way for me to eat is “pour in salad dressing, then red chili sauce and top with the peanut sauce” pork egg rolls are good and crunchy same as fried shrimp rolls it’s a great starter.

P4. Pho with Rare Beef: Broth is super good in its own thin slices of beef cooked in its own broth soft tender rice noodles with cilantro and onion. Now the way I like to prepare it is to add all the sprout and fresh Jalapeños squeezed about three limes add 3 Chile sauces which are a squirt of Sriracha sauce, two squeezes of red chile sauce which believe is called tương ớt (chile sauce) don’t quote me and about a few drops of chili oil freaking Amazing.

Rd16. Charbroiled beef with shrimp and steamed rice: this is one of the plates that were good with the previous owners but it’s still good beef is tender well seasoned shrimp was just a bit on the stiffer side steam rice cooked well like to eat with “tương ớt (chile sauce).”

BM4: Beef Baguette it’s practically a torta with the charbroiled beef “grilled” tender meat and well seasoned and a salad it’s good nicely structured baguette tender inside.

Papaya Boba: didn’t really taste like papaya was ok had a fruit loop cereal taste.

Coconut Boba: can’t go wrong with this one nor the tai tea but freaking delicious this is our desert jaja.

The Bad: the service wasn’t on point I’ll have to call the server if I needed water or something they did deliver and not rude so that a plus. However, I like it when they come to you and ask if you need something or if you’re doing ok it just shows the aspect of great customer service.

The Ugly: OMG! Please fix the sound the music keep cutting off don’t know if it’s the speakers, the subscription or signal this is what almost made me ran out of the place you can hear it in one of the clips I uploaded.

Small adjustments will help this place.

Ordered a vegetable pho and got some bad spoiling cabbage. Also the pho broth is really good but they got to make sure they throw out spoiling vegetables it could make people sick and shut this place down it’d be sad to see. Also their sizes and portions for the pho seem smaller and the prices have gone up. I don’t think this is fair. The pho bowls don’t seem worth it to me. They used to give more meat now they barely give you anything. I have to searvh for the meat in the bowl because its very small amount. What a shame. They’re being so greedy. I don’t reccomend coming here as a regular maybe rarely as treat since you aren’t getting your moneys worth anymore. The place needs to cleanup a bit more and wipe down the walls as well as the sauces so the drip doesn’t dry up. Also throw out any cracked plates/pots it could breed bacteria.

I tried the tofu nuggets they were not seasoned at all and were soggy, they tasted like nothing mush. Do not reccomend those.☹️
The banh mi is delicious I reccomend you try those instead. Toasty bread, sweet carrots, cilantro and cucumber ✨️

I have been going here for years. Love the upgrades. The pho is always delicious! I think the owner came to us while we were sitting and was talking to us in Spanish asking how we were doing. He was so nice! I love it here!

Really enjoyed the beef soup. My daughter got the pho and liked mine better. I felt the same the beef was great. The customer service wasn’t spectacular but it wasn’t bad. Got the shrimp fried rice and for like 18 dollars only got 4 shrimp. The soups were huge and very filling. Spent about 70 dollars for 3 of us. I’d visit again just with lower expectations.

High CP! The combo pho came with lots of meat and good flavors. The meat in the dry noodles were overcooked, dry. The fried egg rolls came kind of cold which was surprising because it took quite a while for the food to come. Overall, 4 stars because the dishes were reasonably priced for the amount you get. But, please, fried egg rolls need to hot!
