Pretty good food with a small salsa bar. I got the Quesabirria, it was large and came with a very small side of beans and rice and a handful of chips. The rice isn’t Mexican and not appetizing in Appearance, but it’s not needed. The Quesabirria was good and plenty on its own.
This is inside Mess Hall so you have the food court area inside or the various outside areas to sit.
Nice dog park and walking paths as well as park like seating along the path.

So only reason why we go there once in a while because they have a bar connected to one cause it’s like a mess or multiple food places in one this place is horrible. I go to a lot of Mexican food restaurants. I love tacos any day anytime they’re surf and turf for $12 horrible it could be free. I would rather have Del taco snack taco I don’t mind spending money on premium meats if it’s good like los cholos tacos, but this place is nothing like them horrible orderedAl pastor tacos, and definitely was not El Pastore tasted like chicken that was marinated in El Pastore sauce whatever but other than that horrible and the surf and turf did not taste the surf and the steak part was I’ve always said how does one mess up Mexican food well, I found it. And the people that probably like this place don’t like seasoning even though the had seasoning put all that taste of salt even if the food was free I wouldn’t eat it if I can give her a zero stars I would for $23 for three tacos trash I don’t care about the price. The main thing is the quality if something is good the price doesn’t matter but when it’s bad and it is priced.

As a vegetarian, my go-to is the nachos! They’ve got so many yummy ingredients and the salsas pair deliciously!

One of my favorite Mexican spots in the area. Quality of food and their choice meats is so good. It doesn’t look that impressive from the outside, their food is better than most overpriced Mexican restaurants (Puesto, Javiers, etc)

Ordered the 5 taco sampler. Great tacos, although a bit on the small side. Large menu though and I did not explore much. Great concept in the “mess hall” approach. Other restaurants available along with a relaxed atmosphere with some game options.

My husband and I LOVE this place! Literally our favorite place to get tacos. We always get the chips and guac and vary up our tacos. These are our favorites: Mexican squash, chicken tinga, filet, carnitas, and surf n turf.

Since discovering Fonda Moderna a few months ago we’ve eaten here at least 20 times. Yesterday was the first day we remembered to take a picture before gobbling up all our food! Best guac and best tacos in town!! We love the chicken tinga, mushroom, and guac tacos. They also make a dang good quesadilla with rice and beans for kids. Oh AND, they have fantastic salsas recommend

Fonda Moderna offers a refreshing take on modern Mexican cuisine. Their tacos are flavorful and unique, and the guacamole is one of the best I’ve had. The décor is sleek and modern, and there’s a fun vibe to the restaurant. It’s a great place for a night out with friends, and the cocktails are fantastic. The prices are fair for the quality of food and atmosphere, which is a nice surprise in this part of town.

my friend brought me a few tacos from here (birria, al pastor, and chicken) and WHEW! they were amazing! the sauce was so good and the tortillas were … i don’t even know how to describe them… so unique and clearly homemade? definitely recommend!!
