A charming little Mexican spot in New Hope with great food and a sweet, shy proprietor who does it all… waits on tables, cooks. We almost missed ot because its set back behind other shops on S Main St, so you have to walk down between 2 stores when you see the sign, but searching it out is absolutely worth it. We had the chicken quesadilla and the tacos al pastor. Both were fresh & flavorful. I would highly recommend hitting this hidden gem.

Had lunch with my wife here recently and the tacos were amazing! We shared barbacoa and al pastor. Staff were super friendly, will definitely be going back! Look for the sign and head down the alley to the cute bungalow in the back!

The owner welcomed us and prepared the food fresh. We had barbacoa quesadillas and tacos carne asada. Both were delicious, but the barbacoa quesadillas were so good that we ordered a second plate. This place can be easily missed, its set back. Go find it. Top notch authentic Mexican food.

Incredible food!! Great flavors and amazing prices. The woman that works here is a little shy, but her cooking is phenomenal. Would absolutely recommend the tres leches cake, carne asada tacos, barbecoa tacos, as well as the rice and beans. The interior is adorable and I will 100% be coming again!

Very welcoming atmosphere. The tortillas are made by hand, and the tacos tasted great! This place reminds me a lot of the small food shops back in my home country.

I had the best tamales I’ve ever eaten here. They were so fresh and soft. They weren’t dry like other places make tamales. I got an extra order to go.

I was in the area and found this restaurant on a map. The location is in the back of a courtyard so it is easy to miss. The owner was very nice. She took our order and cooked our food quickly. The tamales were excellent and the tacos were with homemade tortillas. This is exactly the type of business you should feel good supporting!

Went in for a quick bite of food and was extremely concerned. The dining room was very dirty and disorganized. The kitchen was very unsanitary; there was open cleaning products by the food, the cutting area and grills had not been cleaned in a long time and the overall kitchen was grimy.
The cook’s 2 year old daughter was running around on the floor, grabbing on to us and not being supervised by her mother. The daughter at one point picked up a dirty rag off the floor in the kitchen, wiped her face with it, and then threw it back on the floor as the mother walked over the rag.
We ended up paying for our food and immediately discarding out of concerns of food poisoning.

Fonda Lipa is truly a hidden gem in New Hope. If you are looking for a delicious, authentic, and affordable meal, this is the spot for you. The woman who runs this establishment, is truly a super hero, managing tables, cooking all the food homemade, and providing excellent service, all at the same time! The tortillas are even handmade fresh in house 🙂 Tasted like home. Tell your friends, support a local business, grab some tacos at Fonda Lipa!

Cute small place just off the beaten path. Tasty food, fresh. I always enjoy a Coke in a glass bottle with Mexican food and the have it. Somewhat simple and rustic atmosphere and definitely Spanish speaking if that matters to you.
