Established in 1885, The Folsom Hotel is located in the heart of the Folsom Historic District. This historic hotel lobby bar and boutique music venue hosts local bands and touring national artists. Our outdoor patio is great for fresh-air dining and drinking. Sutter Smokehouse is located inside Folsom Hotel, and serves traditional smokehouse BBQ fair.

Great bar friendly staff Jen and mak are great fun. Ordered the loaded mac and cheese they smoked the pork in house taste so good make sure to get the yellow sauce if you like mustard. Took pictures of the mac and cheese sorry I was half through not giving it justice loaded with lots of delicious pork. Also got a pic of (Mak n cheese)

We just happened to find this place to eat while driving through old Folsom on our way home. We sat at the bar and had the sweetest bartender. We chose to eat at the bar which is usually our preference. The food was fantastic. We had a burger and macaroni and cheese. Both were done to perfection. The burger was cooked perfectly and had fantastic flavor. The macaroni and cheese was made from high quality cheeses very creamy and thoroughly enjoyed.
We’re looking forward to returning for brunch. Thank you to the owner/chef Marlon who came out and spoke with us making it a very personal visit!

I’ve come here multiple times and had pretty good service up until a few days ago. A few of us came in for drinks and got overcharged by $5-$7 per drink. I’ve come in the past (like on Halloween), ordered a Margarita that was about $12. The last most recent time I came in with friends, we were charged almost $17 for the same margarita. I always order the margarita so the price jump was surprising. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to make a scene over the $5 increase but definitely would have appreciated a heads up because the drinks add up and I loved how this was an affordable place to go.

I’ve been here a few times now usually after having already been to Scarlets/Powerhouse across the street and wanting to continue the night. The experience you’ll get is truly up to so many factors. The times my friends and I have came have been on Friday/Saturday nights and the place is packed. It’s a $20 cover to get in, they do have an ATM machine you can use. It’s packed both inside and outside, you’ll wait 15 mins to use the bathroom and will have people hanging on the door for you to get out the whole time, and it’ll be hot inside!
This isn’t a bad bar, it’s divey and feels like it’s for college kids and middle aged couples. The music has been ok, but if you can find an area to hang out with your friends in the back I’d suggest that! This definitely seems like the place to go with friends if you want to drink and socialize the night away. Haven’t tried any of the food, the drinks are fine.

Amazing food!!! Really great historic building but no a/c on a hot day was a downfall but overall a really cool building. Only major complaint was that the bartender basically ignored us when we were trying to pay and leave.

Fun place to come for lunch on a Saturday after the Farmers Market. Live music inside, unique food menu and nice atmosphere. Service and food was quick and with a smile. I had the Represa burger with onion rings, and she had the steak nachos. Both fantastic.
