Take it from a southern boy – this is the real deal. Best BBQ I’ve had in Montana.
Portion sizes are more than adequate. I got a 1/2lb of brisket and a pint of baked beans and was struggling to finish all the beans. Mustard sauce is killer too. Do yourself a favor and dodge the touristy restaurants; just go here and be happy!

Got the Brisket Sandwich after I read good reviews on it. Unfortunately it was EXTREMELY small, and for $15 it is a massive ripoff. It tasted decent, but no better than any other generic BBQ place I have tried. I would not recommend this place and I am surprised at all the great reviews. It also came with literally nothing on it apart from the brisket and the bun.
The photo is after I took a couple bites but is probably like 60-70% of the sandwich still.

Stopped by here for the 1st meal at Yellowstone. Great brisket! Super tender. The chopped ribs is flavorful too. The coleslaw is very fresh. One of the best we had. Cheese corn is interesting. Overall recommended!

We stayed in Gardiner for our Yellowstone trip and quickly discovered that the nearby restaurants were nothing spectacular and very overpriced. We found this spot on google and after reading the reviews, we had to try for ourselves. It’s a quick drive and is located in a parking lot with a gas station. We got the brisket sandwiches with the pimento cheese and of course the cheesy corn. The food was delicious!! We visited from North Carolina where BBQ is a big deal, and this place still wowed us! You will not be disappointed! The staff is friendly and the prices are great. They have outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend! This was our favorite food during our whole trip. Don’t forget to order the cheesy corn

Celiac safe!! The owner is GF conscientious so the sauce and sides are all GF & you can get a GF bun that will make you think you did something to deserve such goodness!! Great service and next to the bar for cocktails. Relaxed picnic table vibe and billiards at the bar too. Highly recommend the portobello mushroom & ribs & beans!

It’s the best (and only) joint in town to get legitimate and quality BBQ. Dick knows what he’s doing and always provides the best. The brisket melts in your mouth and the turkey stew is delicious! Also recommend getting the pulled pork with that absolutely killer swine brine

Third time to Gardiner and there hasn’t been a very good selection of food. Follow Yer Nose BBQ is the definitively the exception. Pulled Pork and Brisket are both very good. Sides and sauces are good. Sauces have a kick. My wife doesn’t do any spicy, but not a deal breaker.

Asked what was the best on the menu and was told it was the special for the day, the sausage sandwich. So I had that and the cheesy corn. I thought it was a great meal, the sandwich was delicious with some of the available sauces drizzled on it and the corn wasn’t too cheesy which was to my liking.

Delicious! We had the special chopped brisket sandwich and a pint of the best coleslaw I’ve ever tasted! Crunchy and tart! They also are selling bottles if their own special sauces. Worth making the trip outside the park for this meal!

The closest BBQ brisket to the south. We got slice beef brisket sandwiches and they were delicious with a capital D! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone coming to Gardiner. Just a small drive out of the town next to the gas station Sinclair, Dino mart. If you get a chance check it out very friendly folks.
