I dine at Folklore every month or so and have ordered many items on their menu. They’re all phenomenal. My favorite is their “Milanesa de Pollo a la Napolitana” (breaded chicken topped with ham, marinara, and mozzarella), which I highly recommend, but I’d order any of their meats for a more faithful Argentine feel. I included a picture of their Filet – which is to die for.
I cant recall any other time that i have eaten only a few bites of my meal. Even when i go to a place hungry and the food is bad i’ll atleast eat until im sated but i left here still hungry.
Why my chair busted out like that man i spent $200+ here.
We had the “el che” and the “tallarino de mar” the steak was a mushy mess and the chimichurri was burnt onto the steak. The pasta had the chewiest scallops and the most over cooked salmon possible (4 oz). It was $48, unbelievable.
Its not even a matter of value, as in being over priced, it was just not good. i wont be back.
Only thing holding it back from being a 1 star are the empanadas which were actually fantastic
And of course – the meat. All three of us had the El filet, juicy and cooked to order. The medium was medium and medium rare was medium rare. Seems simple but it’s not. Creamiest spinach mashed potatoes on the side.
Not to be missed the flan was a stand out. Pur server Jose was a rockstar.
Fresh bread came out first—simple, hot, and actually good. The chicken appetizer was seasoned right and worked well with the red wine we ordered. Steaks were the highlight—thick cuts, grilled perfectly, juicy inside with a good crust. Everything came out hot and tasted like it was made with care.
We sat outside, which had a relaxed, casual vibe—perfect for a low-key night. If you’re dressing up or celebrating something like an anniversary, the indoor setup looked more formal and polished. Either way, the place delivers.
Service was on point—no delays, no confusion, just efficient and friendly. Wine selection matched the food well. It’s definitely a place worth coming back to.
They were out of certain drinks/menu items because of the festival issue. However, it wasn’t a huge issue for us. We tried to many different items – since it was our first time here.
We had the spinach empanada- I chose this because it was vegetarian but I wasn’t a fan. My partner did like it (I am usually very picky). We also picked the provoleta and this was delicious, almost like eating this in Argentina. Very good, this was my favorite item. My partner had the chorizo trio and he said it was good, but nothing too superb.
For entrees we had the ravioli with both sauces red and white and it was yummy, but again just too much food so I only had a few bites. It’s been a few weeks and I cannot remember what my partner had (the steak) also said he enjoyed it, but not sure he was blown away.
I will say that we had the flan as desserts and it was DELICIOUS. Perhaps the best I’ve ever had
I do recommend this spot, especially if you are in the mood for it. It was a good experience.
