This a “Best in Class” local restaurant. The design is comfortable and ambiance matches perfectly. The service is personable and attentive with none of the pretentious pandering you often experience in high end wine country bistro. Food items express fully-developed flavors. Portions are generous. The wine list is well-balanced and matches the menu for breadth and depth. Highly recommend this new addition to the Healdsburg dining options.

Late December 2025 Culinaty hotel, Appellation’s local dining and guest restaurant in Healdsburg owned by renowned chef Charlie Palmer

‘Stayed a few nights and tried the various offerings of the restaurant

As a local dining restaurant the cuisine is predominantly modern American style with modern takes on Western hotel dining menu. The food is seasonal with a push towards local or farm to table style Napa region cuisine. The special menus for special occasions and specials are adaptive and some dishes communal.

The drinks menu were very varied, inventive, trendy, and appealing

The service menu for guests is especially evident in the breakfast shift which is pretty limited and very standard. A bit of room for improvement is the omelet which was unexpectedly a bit rubbery in texture but had a herbaceous and flavorful filling. The green juice was store bought and not house made.

Service was also distinct based on your preferred dining option and may to some extent be inconsistent. This may be due to the newness of the establishment which was just open a couple of months ago. Oftentimes breakfast staff is undermanned and thus service was slow.

Service in general is professional. Warmth and sociability of staff depended on the service station and occasions.

The interiors where bright, lively, spacious and well designed with a modern and sleek vibe melding various types of dining and lounge experiences as well as communal spaces.

Ideal for special occasions and dates

We went on Opening Day and the energy around the ribbon cutting was incredible. The menu takes classics and gives them a thoughtful twist — the iced oysters with a cherry tomato were something I never knew I always wanted (camera didn’t get to eat first). My husband ordered the burger and gave it high praise.

The wine list is beautifully curated, with strong local support alongside iconic names from beyond California. We brought a special bottle for his birthday and ordered a Champagne from their list. We finished it out by the courtyard fire pit — a perfect end to a lovely meal.

The space is stunning, with fun details like hidden silverware drawers at the tables, and the rooftop bar is a spot we can’t wait to revisit with friends. In regards to parking, we ubered and dropped off at valet so unsure what the driving to situation is.

The only small hiccup was that my to-go bag didn’t make it home with me — it was accidentally tossed while we were outside — but I chalk that up to opening-day learning curves. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’m looking forward to many return visits!

We did the course menu for a party of 3.

It didnt start out well since we booked a standard indoor dining and then was seated at the bar. Because we were seated at the bar, we were provided with limited menu. Then, we were seated again outside for a dining experience but its not nice having to sit outside so late when we booked indoor dining.

The food was very nice and fortunately, our waiter was very kind as well. Despite ordering the course menu, the gap between each course was too long. I understand that there are some things to figure out at a new restaurant. I will return in a few months, but this particular experience doesnt live up to the expectations of a charlie palmer restaurant.

Super welcoming even before we got to the front door. Great energy and ambience inside. Excellent wait service. Impressive wine list and even more impressed by the fact that they allow sonoma county Wines with no corkage. The sommelier was very helpful recommending wines for our food. The appetizers were excellent. The first course, a pasta, fantastic. The duck dish was also fantastic. Loved the dessert course. Tried several and all were exceptional. All around a great experience and reasonably priced compare to some Healdsburg restaurants. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful experience dining at folia yesterday. We tried the patê, the appetizer pasta, the halibut, the skirt steak, and a couple of desserts. Every single item was delicious. Steak was buttery tender. My favorite may have been the patê (like a terrine) but everything was delicious, even the Basque Pistacho cheesecake which I ordered with low expectations having been to La Viña in Basque Country 3 times, was perfect. It was light and moist and not overly sweet yum!

Folia executes so well for a new restaurant. Chef Reed Palmer was a pleasure to meet and he shared some of the most delicious Spanish style ham from Nebraska and the story behind it. Charlie Palmer also greeted us and made us feel like we were guests in his own home. The Palmers were incredibly gracious and welcoming. Our sommelier was on point with her recommendations and also very personable and enjoyable to speak with. She did a great job providing the backstory to the wines. The evening was a wonderful culinary experience. In addition to the welcoming atmosphere, the food was excellent. We enjoyed it even more than Dry Creek Kitchen. Well done, Reed and Charlie!

My fiancé and I celebrated our anniversary at Folia and had an amazing experience! We were greeting by the in house sommelier with some complimentary bubbles which was a great start to our dinner experience. Our server Christian recommended the most amazing dishes that we cannot stop gushing over. The clam pasta and flat iron steak were our favorites of the night without a doubt. I would have licked the plate if I could! The atmosphere and staff were impecable and lively! I will definitely be going back and recommending to everyone I know! I will say it was a little hard to find because signage isn’t the biggest yet it made it feel like a hidden gem.
