Booked via FirstTable to use the offer of 50% off for all diners (including “children of any age”). Confirmed before my two children and I sat down in the restaurant by showing the booking email including the part that says “50% off 3 diners”, they said it was fine.
Ordered and ate food, it was lovely and we really enjoyed it, but then when we got the bill only 1 meal was 50% off, not either of my kids meals. Re-showed them the confirmation email, booking offer confirmation, and terms and conditions of the booking and website, yet the manager refused to say anything apart from “doesn’t include children” – despite me checking up front that it was okay, and specifically asking when we sat down, she wouldn’t do anything. Shame really as apart from this it was lovely.
For 30£ per person we had only mains and starters. When we chose to go for desserts we were told that actually the desserts were not part of the buffet even tho they were next to eachother. Im sorry but if you are going to have a buffet, that includes starters, mains and desserts.
From looking around the resturant there were only 3 other tables, clearly that should of been the red flag on a Saturday night. The manager was sitting on his phone in the corner and the staff were taking turns throwing paper balls in a bin behind and infront of the bar.
Im convinced that even if we went for the most expensive option on the menu, we would of been unsatisfied. The meat looked dry and mostly well done, and for a self claimed “steak house” that is far from the standard you should aim for.
To end this night on an all time low we were served the bill, which included a 10% service charge. We took this off by choice as in our opinion this place is not worth a 10% service charge as there was no service.
Recommendations for the future-
-Change your name as this is not a steakhouse
-Change your prices to what its actually worth
-If your going to have a buffet have all 3 course together for that charge
– Include more options in ur buffet
– Hide your manager where he is not playing on his phone infront of guests
I opted for the salad & buffet , but the full meat served at table option was the most popular with other dinners.
The meat was available in plentiful supply ( I did try a slice – very tender and good flavour )
Staff were attentive ( restaurant was approx 30% occupied) and very polite .
The buffet & salad selection was very good and all fresh and well presented.
Highly recommended !
Great drink selection, had a sweet strawberry lemonade that hit the spot just right.
Overall atmosphere was very chill, staff super friendly however the red/green card they give you was kinda small so if you go make sure it’s visible
The red flag should of been the fact that there were only around 3 more tables with us on a Saturday night. But the kick came when they said the desserts were not included in the buffet price after we finished our mains even though we were told that we could use the FULL buffet as much as we want.
The last straw was the 10% service charge that we chose to not pay as we didn’t have any service in the restaurant, desserts were not included in the 30£ per person price, staff were playing around with paper balls and their manager was nicely sat on his phone in the corner. That doesn’t deserve service charge.
Save your money and go somewhere else.
On a whim, I reached out to the Brighton location, hoping they might somehow be able to work some magic and help get a message through for a surprise — and I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Rami. Even during a busy Saturday evening rush, Rami went above and beyond to assist me with my request for a completely different location.
I fully expected to be told to just keep trying the London branch, but instead, Rami exceeded every expectation imaginable. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help were truly exceptional. What an absolute credit to the Brighton team — customer service at its finest!
