Reviews
The Market Table alone is worth the visit — fresh salads, cured meats, cheeses, and a huge variety of sides that are all high quality and beautifully presented. But the real star is, of course, the continuous tableside service of perfectly seasoned, expertly cooked meats. Every cut we tried was tender, flavorful, and served hot right off the skewer. The gauchos were friendly, professional, and happy to explain each cut as they served it.
What really stood out was the consistency. There wasn’t a single item that felt like an afterthought. The drinks, the sides, the desserts — everything matched the same level of excellence.
It’s the kind of place that feels perfect for a celebration, date night, or whenever you want to treat yourself to an unforgettable meal. Definitely worth every penny. I’ll be coming back again without hesitation.
Selene made the experience unforgettable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcomed throughout the entire visit. You can tell she truly cares about giving guests a great experience.
Rigoberto was also amazing, constantly checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. The level of attention and care from the team really stood out.
This is definitely a spot you have to stop by when visiting Seattle or even if you’re just downtown. I’ll definitely be coming back—highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and even better service!
I recently visited Fogo de Chão, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. The staff explained everything clearly, and the pacing of the meal felt perfect.
LONG VERSION:
I’ve been to Fogo de Chão in
– Portland, OR
– San Jose, CA (two different locations)
– Sacramento, CA
I’ve also been to Brazilian steakhouses in Texas, Portland, in Seattle itself, and tens of them in Brazil, where I’m from, where my dad made us barbecue that’s similar to this. Thus, I have some idea about how this kind of meal is supposed to go and taste.
– meats were well cooked but had barely any salt. Some had a weird “washed” flavor. Picanha and Fraldinha were the best though, didn’t need much extra salt.
The last picanha we had was overcooked and a little dry.
-guy serving the meats was cool
-girl serving the table missed requests for more food, cheese, and drinks + brought the sauces 20 min into the lunch (after we had lots of meat already) – but maybe this was because it was President’s day
– the buffet was subpar, especially due to the baffling feijoda. It was like the person who prepared it has NEVER had feijoada. Not a thick rich dark beans stew with chunks of beef and sausage; just dry beans with oil and transparent salted water that tasted like nothing.
Guys, feijoada is a Brazilian STAPLE. You MUST get this right or you don’t deserve to be called “Brazilian”, just “steakhouse”. No other Brazilian Steakhouse I’ve visited in the US gets this one wrong. The worst I’ve ever had.
– the fried bananas, another one made by somebody who has never had them. Dry, covered with parmesan (like what???) and I’m pretty sure they were plaintains, not bananas.
-the cheese bread (pão de queijo), just give up and buy them frozen from Kitanda, which has legit ones
-mashed potatoes had hard pieces in them, covered with some oil. Didn’t taste terrible but wasn’t good either.
This is supposedly a higher end restaurant, not some dive bar. While other Fogo locations have their own problems with inconsistent food quality/stale buffets, this is a new low.
The people who prepare food needs to actually eat good examples of the food they’re preparing. Leadership also needs to focus on getting the quality up to par with other locations. The Sacramento location is much newer ans everything was much better prepared and seasoned.
The cooks don’t need to go to Sacramento to learn, though: just get corporate to pay for a couple of meals at Grill from Ipanema here in Seattle. Everything delicious.
