Reviews
Important to mention it was a January 1st reservation which led to some strange complications.
Pros:
– Staff was super friendly and as accommodating as possible.
– Food was delicious and we all left with very full and happy tummies.
– Atmosphere was warm and inviting with a gorgeous dining room.
Cons:
– The entire buildings strobe lights had been set off the night before and due to the holiday it could not be reset by the building operators. These were really bright and constant but after a table move they faded into the background. It did detract from the luxurious (and expensive) experience.
– They had staffing issues. It took a solid 7 or 8 minutes to be greeted once we were sat. There were less roving meat carvers than other locations I’ve visited, and beverage making/delivery took quite some time. The staff and manager were transparent and apologetic and hopefully ownership and a little luck will improve the problem during other visits (holiday hangover call-ins don’t help).
– About 1/3rd of the roasted bone marrow had a spongy section of bone with almost no marrow. I’ve roasted bone marrow before and this would’ve been noticeable before cooking, after cooking it would be very hard to tell.
The staff present worked their butts off to offer a great experience and we left satisfied, but at this price point (~$500 after tip for four people) to earn 5 stars things really do need to be close to perfect. I would absolutely go back, even to this location.
The food was incredible, the atmosphere was warm and lively, and the service really made the night. Huge shoutout to Edesio, who went above and beyond—he served us the most delicious grilled white cheddar cheese and a great selection of meats, explained everything so well, and was incredibly generous. On top of that, he was just genuinely fun to talk to and made the whole experience feel easy and special.
Also want to give love to all the meat servers and waitstaff. Everyone was attentive, kind, and worked so well together, taking our requests seriously and making sure we were happy the entire time.
And the salad bar—so, so good. Fresh, abundant, and honestly a highlight on its own.
We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend.
