Reviews
From the moment we arrived, we noticed a certain attitude from her. But we brushed that aside. We were a party of four, and she never asked us how we were doing. We waited for longer than 20 minutes, only for the food to come out lukewarm and dry, which indicated that it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. Also, she never once asked us if we wanted another drink. We actually had to ask the manager who happened to be around if we could be served another round of drinks.
Such slow and indolent service cannot be justified. It was hardly busy during those hours in between lunch and dinner; so much so that the assistant bartender spent the whole time dicing up different fruits.
When the time arrived to order dessert, we ordered the Papaya cream. Again, long minutes later, it arrived. But without the crème de cassis topping, as stated in the menu.
When we asked Trish about it, she said “that’s the way it comes out”. We said no because we had ordered it in previous occassions. She went on to ask the young manager, and the manager said the same thing. We directed the manager to read their own menu. It was only after that, that they topped the dessert with crème de cassis.
Berne, our waitress, was attentive, kind, and made us feel truly welcomed.
Bruno did an excellent job serving the Brazilian cuts, perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and we left very satisfied. It was the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. Highly recommended!
As for the food, it was phenomenal (a bit pricey so be prepared to pay $$$) but service was absolutely terrible. The waiter took our drink order and I asked for a water to also come with our drinks. The water never came, I had to ask for water THREE separate times (we were seated right next to the water pitchers by the bar which other servers easily came to refill their tables water glasses, I don’t know why it was so difficult to turn directly behind and get water). My husband changed his drink order to rum and coke, the waiter did not understand what he wanted, it’s not a complicated mixed drink it is RUM AND COKE, my husband had to point out the rum to the server and he still was confused, it took almost a half hour to get the drink, my husband ordered something else because he thought the waiter forgot/never placed the order. Now to the food order, we initially ordered the tomahawk steak but was told they did not have it, so we opted for the wagyu rib eye, we were told it came with two sides (mashed potatoes and bananas), I also ordered the market table (which is just a glorified salad bar for $40), the steak came and it was absolutely phenomenal, it was so flavorful and melted in your mouth, as for the sides? They never came with the meal, we couldn’t find our server and when we were finally able to get someone’s attention they put the order in but by the time the sides finally arrived we were basically done with our meal, thank god I ordered the market table because I was able to supplement some items from the salad bar as a side.
We were seated next to a couple (who had their complaints but they can write their own review) and when they asked for their check, they were given our check instead, which I guess worked in our favor since our server was basically non existent and we didn’t have to flag anybody down to get our check.
The wait staff needs to be retrained to learn how to listen, take an order, make sure the whole order gets to the table and check on the table to see if anything else is needed. If weekends are an anticipated busy time then management needs to do a better job to make sure they are properly staffed.
I have been to other steakhouses that the food was equally as good, had excellent service and not as overpriced as here. For the prices they charge I was expecting a better experience.
As for the food, everything was wonderful. The salad buffet was very complete and the meats were cooked to perfection. In addition to the buffet, they serve some side dishes at the table such as fried polenta, mashed potatoes, and the cheese bread that needs no introduction – the challenge is eating just one!
The salad bar is excellent and the Brazilian BBQ was all well cooked and tender the meat server’s were great . We asked our waiter if chimichuri sauce was available he said he would bring some, after some time the girl clearing the plates came by and we asked again for sauce she brought it right away
The waiter stopped back again (without the sauce) we did not see the waiter again, after some time the bus girl was nearby and we asked her for the check.
I did not feel they were understaffed most of the staff were great the waiter not so much.
