Fog Horn is a very easy-to-miss place. I wouldn’t call it a hidden gem, but if you’ve been there you’ll know you’ve found something special. I kind of like that the hipsters and Karens haven’t found it yet. I can eat in peace and experience a genuine connection, I’d loathe it to become a transactional shell of what it is now.
I like the new location much better than the previous building it was in. You’ll be delighted by walls adorned with high-quality vinegars and oils. As an afficianado of fine goods–It’s like a candy store for me.
The owners are a delight. There is love and care in their craft, and it shows. I wish them nothing but success and prosperity.
My ONLY complaint is I can never seem to make it in when they have gelato. But that’s more my fault than theirs.
You owe it to yourself to stop in, say hello, and grab a bite to eat. If you don’t stay for the food, you’ll at least be back for more bottles of oil. Highly recommend.

The grilled cheese sandwiches were absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent—friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The shop also offers a curated selection of wines, all priced at $35. I had a Sauvignon Blanc from Washington State, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Later, I checked on Vivino and saw it listed at $31.50. Given that wine at restaurants is often priced at more than double retail, the wine pricing at Fog Horn is surprisingly fair and offers great value.

Such a fun and delicious experience with the olive oil tasting at Fog Horn! We felt like we were in a magical chocolate factory but with infinite olive oil and balsamic vinegars. Had the best experience here and tried so many amazing flavor pairings and great Spanish wines. Mercedes was extremely warm and welcoming and treated us like family. We popped in just by chance. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. We had a great time mixing and matching. The bread was great, olives and garlic delicious, and of course the oil and vinegar. Blue my mind with mixing vinegar and soda water for a nice refreshing summer drink. So good!!!

Being from Hawaii, I was thrilled when I found the Kaimana Lychee white balsamic vinegar at Fog Horn last week. I bought it as a Christmas present for my son, but I will be purchasing my own bottle! I used it on my waffles this morning. I plan on using it to flavor cookies, making a coffee syrup, a pancake syrup, to flavor cocktails and whip cream and most of all over vanilla ice cream. Can’t wait! Full disclosure, I did buy several oils and vinegar, but the Lychee was so good it deserves it’s own review.

I am SO thrilled with Foghorn! I use their balsamic/olive oils in almost every meal I make. The quality is outstanding, the prices are MORE than fair, and John and Mercedes make me feel like family every time I come in.
