In our opinion, this is the best NY style pizza in the area. In fact, this has been our sole source of take out pizza for the last 15 years or so. The best feature of the pizza is the substantial feel to the crust. It’s very nice to chew and does not fall apart. Other pizza places have thin, mushy crust which are only vehicles to deliver low quality sauce and heaps of toppings from the cheapest supplier. Not Flying Pizza!

If you’re looking for legit New York-style pizza in a fun, lively setting, The Flying Pizza needs to be on your radar. I recently visited this neighborhood pizzeria and was impressed with their dedication to quality ingredients and authentic preparation techniques.

As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice the staff tossing dough high up in the air as the ovens blaze away behind the counter. The aroma of freshly baked pies engulfs you immediately, setting the stage for some great New York-style eats.

I opted to order a fresh pie instead of a slice, and I was glad I did. The 10 minute wait was well worth it when this piping hot masterpiece emerged. The crust was perfectly charred with just the right amount of chew. The in-house pizza sauce struck a nice balance between sweet and savory. And the locally-sourced mozzarella melted into gooey deliciousness.

If that wasn’t enough, the complimentary breadsticks slathered in their homemade garlic butter took this meal over the top. The two ladies working the counter were extremely friendly and helpful in guiding our selections.

All in all, The Flying Pizza delivers on its promise of New York-style pies with flare and flavor. I’ll definitely be back to try out more of their specialty pizzas soon! Just be prepared to wait a bit for your pie, because quality takes time. It’s worth it!

Felt obligated to give this place a review because WOW those prices are crazy. I got a slice of cheese, it’s 4 bucks for a single slice, a 16” is 24.95. So given these prices I have to be HIGHLY critical because these are ridiculous prices for pizza it is honestly offensive. The pizza was good, but nothing to brag about, I have had sextons in Columbus and they had a 16” for 16 bucks, it was WAY better than this place. I rate this pizza a 7.7 for the crust, sauce, and cheese. It was just decent, nothing great, and CERTAINLY not justified for the price. Go somewhere else unless you prefer emptying your pockets. Pizza dive in Beavercreek has better pizza for a much more reasonable price nearby.

We were in the area, so we decided to stop in for a quick lunch. We shared the lunch special as the slices of pizza are so big that a single piece each was plenty for us. The cheese and pepperoni tasted fresh and delicious. We hoped for a little more sauce on the pie as it was very good as well but a little thin. The crust was very crispy. I thought it was a little overdone, but my spouse thought it was perfect. Overall a delicious lunch for not much money at all. The restaurant was clean. Bright and inviting. We will come back again.

I cannot recommend Flying Pizza enough. We get it for dinner when I don’t want to cook, we get it for parties to please the masses, we get it just because it sounds good. At this point, my husband walks in and they know exactly which pie is his! The people are incredible and always share a positive energy when you walk in. Seriously, whether you’re a fan on NY pizza in general or want to try it out, order from Flying Pizza!

The vibe was like a low key vibe, the staff was great, but the pizza…. Pizza was okay. The sauce was watery and a but bland. The crust was overcooked. It’s a good idea to do pizza by the slice but once the pies are perfected, it will be too good! Will definitely try them again and get a Sicilian this time.

I ate here for the first time after many years. I had a pep/sausage slice. It was amazing. The customer service was great, and it came out fast and fresh! I will be back for sure… ❤️❤️

Friendly staff which greeted everyone quickly and thoroughly helped complete each transaction.

Fair price – actually GREAT price.

I got a thick slice of Sicilian pizza, a breadstick with a side of marinara and a side salad with some dressing and a small drink all for $11 and some change .

The pizza was a 10/10
The breadstick was baked perfectly. I would’ve chosen more butter, but that’s my preference. The side salad was fresh. Just a little lacking in toppings but overall this is a great place to go!

I went at dinner time. There was plenty of parking and there were no other customers so seating was available. The staff was friendly. I asked for pizza by the slice and they seemingly pulled it out from under the counter, put pepperoni slices on it, and put it in the oven. The pizza tasted very strange and I did not like it.
