Favorite Boise pizza location for 30 years. The only reason I didn’t offer 5 stars is bc you never came back to your glory days after Covid. You took away 2 of the 3 offerings my 5 family members valued the most- the awesome, best in the valley salad bar ever for fresh,unique items and best homemade house dressing – SO sad- my daughter and I always loved it as much as the pizza, (to go salad doesn’t cut it AT all), and your unique and crazy beer options- hubby REALLY misses that. Also, we have been to all locations and they are not consistent. We only visit the mother ship. Don’t ever change your quirky, not quite right interior here. Thankful you’ve been around this long, we have had MANY family birthdays here and our now grown kids still want to come back when they visit.

If you want some nostalgia to slap you upside the head, this is the place for it. This will make you feel like you’re eating at the pizza place of your childhood.
The decore is clean, but “old” lending to that nostalgia. But even the pizza gave me that feeling though it was NOT a slice of cardboard with ketchup and cheese.
We ordered a sourdough crust pizza and it was great. One of the things I love about sourdough is that tang that hits ya in the jaw and this pizza even did.
Anyway. I would recommend all you “old timers” like me bring your teens or new grandkids here, take away their electronics, and let em play some pinball. Then they too will continue to want to come and one day have that nostalgic feeling you are having.

You guys, I have to tell you about this place that we highly recommend. My fiancé and I stumbled on a total gem. The staff was fantastic, and the whole 80s vibe super cool as we are 82 babies, with the pinball and Pac-Man, brought us right back to being kids again. Not to mention the pizza incredible. Lots of awesome options. We’ll definitely be making this our new regular spot!

First time at Flying Pie tonight, come for the pizza (which is amazing) and stay for the atmosphere. Staff is great and engaging. Nostalgic and friendly atmosphere makes the wait quick and lively. The pies are filling and delicious. Definitely need to check it out if you’re thinking pizza for the night. If you’re picking up don’t forget to squeeze the horn on your way out! 10/10 recommend!

I love flying pie. The food is amazing, it can take a bit to get your food, but it is in my opinion the best pizza in town. I personally am a fan of the no veggie pie way, but I have plenty of friends and family who eat the rest of the food. I have always loved the ambience here with the paintings on the wall. 100% recommend!

Where to start with this diamond of a pizza joint.
A complete throwback to the 90s pizza restaurant in Boise. This place has THE MOST AMAZING pizza. AND to top it off they have THE MOST AMAZING GLUTEN FREE pizzas as well.
The restaurant is decorated in 90s movies, music and decor. It is neat and tidy and very welcoming. The staff is helpful and happy. The bathrooms are clean and bright, and I’m pretty sure would look killer in black light. The murals on the walls are amazing and a homage to the time period as well. The soda dispenser is a riot, if you go you know. IYKYK
Now for the food. OMG this pizza is just the way I remember it! Piled high with delicious, fresh toppings REAL cheese piled on top of a perfect amount of red sauce, fresh from the oven.
They offer two different pizza doughs- traditional and sourdough. Gluten free pizzas are only served in 10″ size. I thought is would be too small, I was only able to finish half my pizza! I was stoked to discover I get to have cold pizza for lunch tomorrow. hells yeah!!
I believe we ordered the Phosgo Supreme in the traditional and the Contest Combo in the gluten free.
I have to mention, I’ve had my fair share of gluten free pizzas. Most are passable as pizza crust, but don’t compare to the awesomeness that Flying Pie delivers. This crust was crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. Thank you for providing me with a pizza that I can tolerate and tastes like the real thing.

We visited Flying Pie for their Name Day special to celebrate our daughter, and it was an unforgettable experience! Despite a busy evening, Sarah went above and beyond to make our daughter feel special. Although making a pizza in the kitchen wasn’t possible due to the rush, Sarah gave her a delightful tour of the kitchen and set up a fun pizza-making station at our table. The pizza itself was outstanding—hands-down the best crust in the valley! Sarah’s thoughtful attention and warm hospitality turned a great meal into a cherished memory. Exceptional food, top-notch service, and a new family favorite—Flying Pie truly delivers!
