My husband got the seafood platter with flounder, scallops and clam strips…Excellent. I got the mahi mahi, flavor good but overcooked and very dry., that’s where the 4 stars for food comes in. The flying fish sushi was delicious. The smoked mahi mahi dip was a big hit. Let’s not forget the Honey Bee no alcohol drink was so good, wish they served a larger size. Our waitress Melissa was very patient considering we must have asked a million questions about the food. She went out of her way to check on the cost of the sushi grade tuna at the market for us. But that’s not where it ends, every staff member that we saw, said hello and asked how we were doing. We will definitely be returning.

One of my favorite things to get when near the ocean is clam strips and omg the ones here are some of the best I’ve had. Maybe theu were so good because I’ve been clam strip deprived, but they were so crispy yet light with a great soft chew but not rubbery. So much better than frozen ones. The fries were also surprisingly really good and of course the hushpuppies were great. They had some good looking non seafood options. We got the apple chicken salad and it came very fresh, no brown lettuce or oxidized apples. I’m not normally a cracker and dip person, especially fish dip, but out of curiosity I tried the free dip and it was very good, ended up eating all of it!
Our server was friendly despite being clearly very busy. We came on the earlier side before 6, but it was already pretty packed. Might have contributed to my only complaint the table we were seated at was dirty. There was dried rice scatted all over the booth seat and the table had crumbles wasn’t cleaned. The one stretch of floor up to our booth also had a sticky spot. They were very busy so hopefully it isn’t always like this.

My wife and I decided to give the Flying Fish Market a try before going to the Christmas show next door. I can’t remember the last time we had a meal this good at a restaurant. The service was outstanding. Our server Graham was awesome. Super knowledgeable about the menu and different types of fish. He made excellent recommendations. We both had the catch of the day, Tile fish with the goldfish-jalapeno crust and loved it. They should bottle the honey-siracha sauce! Will definitely be back!

This was our first restaurant on vacation. We were not disappointed. We had a couple of appetizers and they were excellent. Crab Cake Spring Rolls and the Crab and Shrimp Nachos. There were tons of crab and shrimp on the nachos. They also gave us Mahi smoked fish dip when we sat down. We ended up purchasing more dip, it was so good. Service was great, and the outside seating gave a great view of the intercoastal waterway. We will definitely go back.

Beautiful views and our server was the sweetest thing. I was so excited for dinner I forgot to take pictures. The smoked fish dip is absolutely amazing. Ask for the recipe and they will share it. I can’t wait to make it.
We both had the catch of the day Mahi-Mahi. I had just grilled and my husband had the Cajun style. I was not happy with the chefs rice, but the fish itself and the green beans were amazing.

This place is a very strong 4. Location was very nice. Service was solid and the food was very good. The restaurant is huge. Two levels off the back including outside seating on both giving you plenty of water view seating. The food was very good and you do get plenty to take some home. House oysters are a little small, (that’s just the type) but were a nice app before dinner.

It was my birthday and we stopped here at the Flying Fish to eat 8/9/2025. Beginning appetizer was a smoked fish dip and crackers which was yummy! We ordered fried pickles, crisp and perfect! I ordered ribs with fries and slaw and I ordered a cluster of crab legs steamed perfect! All I can say is it was very delicious and so good! My husband got the fresh catch meal, grouper and said his was also delicious! We had sweet and unsweetened tea which was perfect! Our server was awesome! We didn’t wait long, sat on dog friendly patio and our waiter brought her a bowl of water! It was an awesome birthday meal and they made it special by giving me a free brownie dessert! Definitely will be back!

We decided we would go out one night for a nice grouper dinner this week as a splurge. After researching places in the area and ensuring that fresh grouper was available, we went to Flying Fish. I should’ve known when walking but the fish case as the grouper filets did not look fresh, but we hoped that which was being served would be the ‘fresh’ grouper that they claimed. My fish came out, and it not only was a skinny maybe 4 oz filet, but it was overcooked and very fishy tasting. My husband’s was a thicker, larger fillet and although his didn’t seem overcooked, it tasted very fishy, and basically old. On my plate, some of my green beans were brown, and it included a hard inedible stalk. I cannot believe they even let this plate come out of the kitchen. At least the hush puppies were good. I will not go back, it was a complete disappointment.
