We found this quaint lil’ chain of seafood rest’s in Little Rock, Ar & were elated to find they have several around DFW. We’ve eaten at a few here never being disappointed. They are casual & quirky, right up my alley. You are welcomed by the Wall of singing Billy Bass plaques, bring a photo of you & your “big catch” & they’ll add it to the rest for all to see. They have a patio outside (if you can stand the heat) or some booths/tables except we moved to a booth bc the chair seats were not very comfortable for me (at this local)& that was perfect. Most importantly the food, it’s always been great. The service was great & the place was clean & tidy w/napkins, s/p, sweetener on each table. Our usuals are fried pickles, catfish filets, boiled & fried shrimp, crawfish, gumbo & crab legs. Join the The Grub Club- it’s free & you get a coupon every month for a free meal (Bogo). ♿

The food was good, the ambient was soo nice it gives a retro lake house sort of vibe. The place is super clean, they keep it very tidy. The cashier is friendly and overall i had a great time at this location. It was my first time here and it did not disappoint. Wish the food came with some salad or another side to lessen up on the heavy grease but overall the food and drinks were awesome

Today was not a good experience. Normally this is one of my favorite restaurants. Here’s a picture of my alleged shrimp ( loaf). I had 5 shrimp and today they were really small. I ordered 3 , still spent almost $ 50. I was supposed to have a free meal from all of my other purchases, but the cashier decided that he would just take $10 off. Nothing in the restaurant costs $10 hence false advertising. . Needless to say, I guess they are getting like most other restaurants, skimping their customers and getting over any way they can. Well I guess I will find another seafood restaurant or cook at home. Even my kids were disappointed and my daughter picked this place on her birthday

The food was incredible. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and son said this was the best raw oysters they have had. I got the snow crab claws. It was spicy, it wasn’t mentioned on the menu. I persevered because it had a great flavor. If you don’t like spicy, I don’t like spicy at all, make sure you order the crabs with no seasoning. Despite the heat of the seasoning on the snow crabs, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. We all enjoyed our meal.

Grits and Gumbo. Delicious, the grits were unexpectedly crunchy which I loved. Frozen margarita was refreshing. Will go back soon.

Love the simplicity, laid back and great Cajun food. Go for the Veracruz if you haven’t had a whole fried fish. Bread pudding is original like the one from Louisiana

Apparently, the individual who took our order didn’t put the order in. Went to the counter after being sitting in the restaurant for half an hour to be informed that our food had not been put in and that they would prepare it then. I requested several times for the food to be fried soft and only to have the kitchen to mess up on the order twice. The Flying Fish in Coppell is way better even though it is a further distant. Food and customer service is amazing at the Coppell location.

First time at this location and this is possibly the best. Arrived on a Saturday night 30 min till close and still got the best food I had in days (and we had just flown home from the Florida keys)! I didn’t get to try the crab legs that my daughter got but she said the spice level was spot on. The oysters were some of the best I have had in a long time, no sand or shell and tasted fresh.

Haven’t been here in over three years, so I was happy to discover that this place is as good as always! Best hush puppies in DFW. Mexican cocktail was full of shrimp and perfectly spicy! Crab legs were tender and delicious. Bread pudding and key lime pie were the perfect way to end the meal. Will be back again very soon!!
