New location in Plano!!! We will definitely be back to try more items of their menu. Customer service was great. You order at the counter and pick up your own food, but they have plenty of staff helping in the dining room! We had the shrimp cocktail, lobster roll and catfish/shrimp fried basket. The food portions were nice sized and they have plenty of sides options. Great place to get some good seafood!

We are so happy Flying Fish opened another location on Preston Road in Plano! We love the food and the Gulf Coast vibe of the restaurant. I ordered Tilapia with butter and garlic and a side of fried okra and grilled squash. My husband ordered a chicken Po Boy with a side a beans and rice. Very good! Highly recommend!

The sign out front says it all; NOW OPEN. After quite a bit of renovation (formerly Dickie’s BBQ) we have our 2d FF in Plano. Yummy. We got two entrees’ split one and took over home as leftovers. Great bargain with our loyalty club points. Decor much the same as the older location in Plano think lots of fish. Food and service is done the same way placing order, pickup etc. Wish at both locations they would bring back the fried pies. So delicious.

A solid place to get southern, fried fish.

I ordered the catfish poboy and found it very competent, the taste was good and the cocktail sauce on the Poboy was new to me, but a welcome addition. The side of hush puppies and fries were pretty good too.

The atmosphere was exactly what I wanted to see and the service was fast and courteous. I will be returning to try more of their vast menu.

Bf and I stopped in on a weekday night. While not completely packed, it was lively and there were lots of families around.

My partner ordered a catfish po boy and I ordered a basket of 6 fried jumbo shrimp with fried okra.

We both pretty much came to the conclusion that everything was alright. Nothing bad, but nothing crazy good. Okra can be equated to Chicken Express taste, which I’m still alright with. I really enjoyed their tartar sauce here, it was bright and flavorful.

Bf is already talking about which dishes he should try next, so while I don’t think it was our favorite food, it seems like a great place to get variety seafood if you don’t want to haul out to fish shack in Richardson.

We liked this place. They have a monthly grub club with coupons they send and this month it was buy one get one free entree with purchase of 2 drinks. We had the rockfish with garlic butter. I liked the side salad too. It was large. They brought us our food very fast and it was delicious. We will come back.

I’ve been to Flying Fish at their other locations and can safely say they’re consistent on the food. I had a fried basket and nothing was too greasy which is an indicator they’ve been changing out oil.

Just note it get LOUD in there and the order taker might not hear your order. I asked for a fish and 4 shrimp basket but got a 4 fish basket. Sure that’s on me for not double checking my order on the receipt but it was very much put a damper on my experience.

Catfish jambalaya was very plain and blah, rice needs to cooked just a bit longer ( had hardness)seasonings just wasn’t there fried catfish was good though but small pieces. Seafood boil was alright but seasoning just not there- dry. Put it into some juices like a boil should be after paying $36 for it. You want bland this is your place. Spending $81.00 on food you expect to be good. It really bothers me and it wasn’t worth it!!

We got crawfish and it was really bland, didn’t taste like anything. I recommend the other location.
