We sell gobs of fresh catfish, shrimp and oysters, grilled fish, shrimp cocktail, fish cocktail, crab legs, burgers, chicken and mudbugs (crawfish) in season. A specialty selection of grilled salmon, trout or tilapia is also offered each day. Ice cold Tap and bottled Beer, wine and home made margaritas are also served. We even have KIDS BOAT meals for your minnows! The Flying Fish is a “fast-casual” format – come as you are!!! Parents, grandparents, kids — ALL are welcome! We offer more than just a wide selection of fish. We have great hamburgers, chicken tenders and fresh salads galore. If you want us to top your salad with a piece of grilled fish, we have that too. Excellent seafood of all varieties, wrapped in a cozy environment, served with attention and care! I absolutely love that fish camp style restaurants are trending again! It brings on a lot of nostalgia for me from childhood. We took our daughter after her Christmas party at church and there were smiles all around! Our food was piping hot and delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl of gumbo. My husband ordered the grilled redfish that was served with grilled squash, beans and rice. It was very fresh and clean tasting.
The service here is tremendous and the staff are over the top friendly.
The restaurant has the typical decor of pictures of fisherman showing off their catches all over the wall. It is very family friendly as well. The location is very conveniently located to our youngest daughter’s home so I am quite sure that the delicious food here will “lure” us back in!

The service here is wonderful. A diner vibe with southern hospitality. You can tell they have regulars and the staff is so efficient and kind. The catfish is my go-to but the fried red snapper is amazing too. Don’t recommend the red beans ans rice but that’s subjective. Take a look!

This was our first time visiting. Flying fish, the food was just…OK ♀️. My food was bland. No seasoning. I had to actually ask for seasoning. My sister had fish and shrimp. She said it was okay but not the best she’d ever had, but it was edible. She didn’t want her leftovers, so that says a lot. My niece did really enjoy the tacos. That’s why I gave it a 3 because she said her food was good. But personally, I probably will not be revisiting this restaurant. ♀️

What can I say! This has been my favorite spot in Dallas for fried catfish and tasty appetizers FOR YEARS!! This time around, I tried the ceviche for the first time, and it was fresh, tart, and a little bit spicy. The Addison location is nostalgic, but the Plano location doesn’t miss!
