Ordinarily I would give the Flying Cow a good review, but today is not the day for that. I placed an order two hours before I went to the place so it would be ready by the time I got there at 12. I was not happy to find out that it was not ready at all and I did not get it until 12:30 when I had to be back at work. Usually I like eating at the Flying Cow since they have great food, but not today. The food was good as usual, but the wait and the service was not. Usually when you call into a restaurant to ask to have it ready, it is ready. Evidently, they do not do that here. They lost a customer because I will not go back there for a while if ever. I was meeting a friend there and she did not get order until a hour and half later. If that happened at any other restaurant, they would lose more business or be closed down. I am so disappointed.

First visit to the new “barn”. As usual, the food didn’t Disappoint. The staff is pleasant and upbeat. The food quality and presentation was up to their standard, but the wait for the food was long as was the line to give my order.
It was 11:40 and I thought to beat the lunch crowd, but I was mistaken.
It would be a service to their regulars and occasional visitors to have two people taking orders between 11:30 and 1 – perhaps one to write the order and get drinks and a second to ring up. Or one to handle take out and another to handle eat in.
It is great to have an eating option close to the Riverwalk and with outside tables.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, very clean environs, plenty of selection of baked goods, and the Saturday special of Chicken and Dumplings is home cooking par excellence. Frequent return visits are a given here. Five stars, hands down.

Was a little pricey. 25.Got sick from the sandwich. Turkey tasted funny and looked grey and old so I only ate like a 1/4 of it. Homemade chips were half cooked, and tasted like a salt lick because there was so much salt on them. Coconut cream pie was ok but tasted mostly like vanilla pudding. Cashier was at till when we entered and did not even greet us just walked away while we grabbed a menu. Was curt and professional but not polite. Did not even say thank you after our purchase. Every booth had a dirty table except one and that one was missing the cushion for the seat so had to steal one out of the next booth. Bathroom was gross trash was over flowing onto floor and there was urine on the seat. They weren’t even that busy! There was 2 sets of 2 people already eating and a group of 3 waiting that had already ordered then us 2. I only give it 2 stars because my SO said his sandwich and fries were like a 3. Was really disappointed as the local hospital staff recommended this place and it was a total bummer.

Stopped in for a cold drink on July 8th and decided to get something to lite to eat. My husband and I decided on the Spring Chicken salad that was awesome. It contained romaine lettuce, strawberries, pecans, BBQ chicken and bleu cheese. We sat outside and shared it but I could have eaten the whole thing. It was so good I went in and ordered another one to take with me. Reasonably priced, friendly and very relaxed atmosphere.

The staff is always very welcoming and inviting. Food is some of the best in the area hands down. From breakfast, to lunch and even the gourmet pizza’s. I’ve never been disappointed with quality that comes out of the Flying Cow Bakery. Love this place.

Was out on a drive with the wife, got hungry for a burger. Googled places to eat… Name called us in.
Burgers were very good! Was a little chilly in the dining area, but wasn’t an issue for us. Recommended. We will be back again.
