My partner and I went to the Flour Shop last night and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was! What a gem!

We found ourselves in the area and spontaneously tried to be walk-ins. Staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and quick at accommodating us at the bar.

We had the croquettes (fabulous appetizer), the dates (this was the one thing we didn’t like and wouldn’t recommend ordering. We had very different expectations. There was absolutely no blue cheese at all), the Bolognese (this was delicious), and the absolute standout was the Balanzoni. Everything about the Balanzoni worked with the sausage, sage, and pistachios.

The ambiance was upscale but casual. We loved the space! It was very lively. I felt like I was back in Italy ordering good food without the stuffy overbearing atmosphere so many restaurants that do fresh made pasta have.

They change up their menu a lot, so I can’t wait to go back!

We’ve been were before for drinks only, but did the FOOD dive today. Daniel was our water, in at 5:00pm too beat the rush.
Everything from the bread service to the Tiramisu were Devine. Nothing felt rushed or out of place. Even the conversation with the waiter was grand. The pasta had a toothiness that you would expect from fresh. The duck breast was mid-rare with crispy skin. The small plates absolutely hit all points. The drinks top notch and well crafted. Didn’t wanna make a review because I dont want this place to be on one of those outta state transplants TikTok or Instagram videos but this place deserves to be packed!!

Had such an amazing birthday dinner here last night! We were a party of 14 (ended up being 12). I can’t remember our server’s name. But wanted to give her a shoutout for taking great care of us!! The menu is great with tons of options for gluten free meals. Drinks were delicious too. Thank you for an amazing night for my birthday 🙂

Both pastas were VERY salty. Like enough to make you drink 2-3 extra glasses of water. I’m not picky and I usually don’t mind extra salt. We got the bolognese with ricotta & gnocchi and the spinach pesto tortellini. Could absolutely not finish the bolognese sauce/meat but the gnocchi was good. The burrata was good, but doesn’t even come with enough bread to finish it (we later asked for extra bread so that helped!)
Overall not worth the price because the pasta was disappointing. I really wanted to love this place since it’s locally sourced and scratch made 🙁

I’ve been going here for the past 3 years and what a gem! The servers here are amazing and always so happy and pleasant to be around. The food is very delicious (limited vegetarian options), but the Tiramisu is fabulous.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Flourshop!

From the moment we walked in, everything was top-tier — the ambiance was to die for, effortlessly stylish and inviting. The food was out of this world — each dish beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly crafted with so much care and creativity.

What truly set the evening apart was the service. Our server was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. He genuinely loved his job! And to top it all off, the chef personally came to our table several times — not just to check in, but to walk us through the dishes, explain the inspiration behind them, and make us feel truly immersed in the experience. It’s rare to feel that kind of connection and intentionality in a dining experience.

This place is a gem in Charlotte. If you’re looking for a memorable night out — whether it’s a date, celebration, or just a well-deserved treat — I highly recommend giving Flourshop a try. Can’t wait to come back!

Very very delicious food, the calamari probably are the best so far I have tasted because they are extremely fresh, crust sosssooo good!! Burratta is creamy and flavorful. The scallops are seared perfectly and the risotto is sooo rich and not heavy though. The gaganelle is so full of flavors. Just so incredible

Hidden away little secret place to have a fantastic dinner and experience! Make a reservation..

They treat you special right off to the start.
They want you to have the best time. And we did!

Fried calamari, so good! Really fresh.
The homemade lemon Occhi pasta, was phenomenal, so light and delicious.
Homemade pappardelle Bolognese, doesn’t get any better!

Our server Madison was great!
Manager Ed took extra care of us.
Then the chocolate fluffy cake to finish us off with a little ice cream.
Thank you!

A great experience at “flower shop”

Here is my review for Flour Shop in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve been trying to go to some Italian places in Charlotte. I feel a lot of them are mediocre. Was looking forward to this meal. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was OK. I’ve had their bread and pizza baby and I thought this wasn’t as good. I would hope it would’ve been at least warm. The duck was good, but the skin was not crispy- very flavorful though. The potato croquettes were good- crispy and came with a peppercorn aioli. My friends all had different pasta dishes. I randomly ordered fries and they were probably my favorite thing. Very crispy and well seasoned. They had a pretty good wine and cocktail list as well. All in all, was a good experience.

Yes this is a pasta place, but don’t sleep on the other entrees! My partner loves pasta, and I wanted to treat him to a nice dinner. However, I try (emphasis on try) to stay more low carb when I can, so I wasn’t sure what exactly I would find to eat at place that has “flour” in the name.

Never mind that. I found some great protein-forward options. Started with the hamachi, which was so refreshing. Then went with the pork chop for my main, which had a great smoky flavor and came with a lovely Romesco sauce.

We really enjoyed our meal here along with the good service and cool ambiance. My only complaint was they were out of a few items (2 apps, and entree, a few beers).
