Great friendly service by all staff. Food/drinks were bought to the table quickly from ordering. Food was tasty and very well presented. Dining atmosphere was cozy and family friendly. The sticky date pudding was the best I have tasted in a long time. Good location. Would highly recommend

This restaurant (Flour & Salt, 72 Station St, Fairfield, Melbourne 3078) always offers a wonderful experience. Michael was welcoming from the moment we arrived for dinner. There was a great selection of Italian dishes including several specials. My daughter and I chose a delicious baked chicken meal and our friends visiting from Sydney & Brisbane choose a classic chicken Parma. The heat of the day had affected our appetites so we didn’t have dessert. We usually do and the range is excellent. The wine list provides many choices. We were just so relaxed enjoying each other’s company in air conditioned comfort. All service was prompt and unobtrusive. Thank you Michael and staff for another memorable evening. We will be back!

We love flour and salt and have been getting pizza here for years. However over the last couple of months we have noticed a change in the vegan cheese, the mushrooms on the funghi pizza and it’s not for the better. Also the pizza dough is not as soft and amazing as it used to be. It’s still really yum but we have had better from here .. Can you get the old vegan cheese back cus that’s also better and soooo hard to find good vegan cheese from pizza places!

A real gem of a neighbour Italian restaurant. We had the lamb ragu pasta, mushroom pizza, arancini balls, brocollini and a bottle of red. The lamb ragu was tender with heaps of meat, and the mushroom pizza had proper chunky gourmet mushrooms and a decent truffle flavour throughout. Very reasonably priced for the quality and amount of food, with plenty of leftovers. Highly recommend, will definitely be back to try more.

We came to celebrate my partner’s birthday.
The entree was a large (gf) bruschetta pizza. We’d never had one before. Gf bases can be tricky, but it had a soft top and crusty base that was not only delicious but had a great crunchy texture. The balsamic bruschetta topping was honestly the best I’ve had.
Flour and Salt were very accommodating, not only allowing me to bring a gluten free cake to the store (partner is a coelic) but stored it in their fridge, with staff later bringing it out after our meal with lit candles.
I had some freshly made pasta with truffle sauce and it was unreal. My partner had gluten free gnocchi which was also delicious.
The owner brought out a complimentary birthday cocktail. Very happy to recommend this place, the food was great with a fun lively atmosphere. Will be back for that Gf bruschetta pizza!
