Loving it…. this is a new restaurant at the new world class pickleball facility located in part of Snyder Park. This was a win from start to finish. The complex is a cool scene with lots of young, hip, fun groups enjoying the courts. There is an outdoor bar is near the courts but then you walk through the complex and find The Florida Room along the beach and the lake. There is outdoor seating near the walkway where it is nicely manicured with benches for observing the lake view and beach. The outdoor area also had heaters which were necessary on this frigid Florida day.

We entered and my friend and I both commented on what a great job they did on the decor. It is casual, yet upscale and really feels like a nod to Florida… Carl Hiaasen vibe in the decor if you ask me. We loved the comfort, the colors, the humor, the lighting, the giant windows to observe the lake or pickleball courts on the back side. You know when you enter an establishment that is planning to do it “right.”

Our service was friendly and attentive. Our food was superb. Each dish was great with some being really exceptional choices. The calamari was easily the best I have ever had, light and crisp. The Tuna Crisp was exceptional. I love tuna nachos but this was next level. The deviled eggs were also truly perfect with even a perfect presentation. I didn’t love the smash burger but for the happy hour price was still good. We will definitely return. Thank you for doing it right!

Update: We returned and met friends for a birthday celebration and had more great food and service. We heard the friend chicken was a must and it was very good as was the bolognese. Will post a few more pics. Thanks again.

My Wife & I had an amazing dinner at The Florida Room at The Fort! The food was excellent — we ordered the salmon and the spicy rigatoni, and both were absolutely delicious. For an appetizer we split the mango salad, and it was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to the meal.
The service and atmosphere were fantastic — a chill but refined vibe that made for a great night out.
And the drinks… wow. We’re big Old Fashioned fans and the Brown Butter Old Fashioned and Banana Bread Old Fashioned were incredible. Honestly, we’d go back just for the cocktails alone.
Can’t wait to return!

One word sums it up! WOW! The atmosphere, service, drinks, food, dessert and, yes I’m gonna say it, the bathrooms were all great!
We were greeted right away and got a nice table outside. Our server Sharlize was fantastic along with her coworkers that helped. Everyone made sure all of our needs were met. My family doesn’t even treat me “that” great! Lol
The wine list had lots of options & I liked that there was a description for each wine. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a hidden gem and a new favorite spot! This is our fourth visit, the previous three times the food was so appetizing and amazing we ate the food before I could take pictures. And again it happened, so the salmon and scallops you see were only a portion of the dish. Let’s start with the atmosphere, WOW! You believe you are in a resort style restaurant on a private island. The food is delicious and beautifully plated. The service was excellent! We prefer to sit in “Les” section at the bar; he is personable and professional and made great recommendations! Our last visit Sandra took good care of us… but Les still checked in on us. We’re planning on coming back again and again with friends and family to sit on the patio. The happy hour is GREAT from Wednesday thru Sunday 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the bar and patio! Although we haven’t seen it as yet, on the opposite side of the pond view is a pickle ball stadium style court that you may view from the main dining room. Lastly, after a beautiful dinner, stroll down to the beach (the pond) to relax for a romantic end to the evening or beginning! This is a hidden gem!!!

As a member of The Fort and someone completely obsessed with pickleball, I’ll admit I didn’t think much about The Florida Room at first. A restaurant inside a pickleball facility? I wasn’t convinced. But wow — was I wrong.

After a busy Saturday morning on the courts, we finally decided to try brunch at The Florida Room and were completely blown away. The space is absolutely stunning — not at all what you’d expect from a sports facility. It truly stands on its own. The waterfront setting, the ambiance, the design — every detail feels elevated and intentional. Honestly, you could tell many guests came just to dine there, and now I understand why.

The service was exceptional from start to finish — warm, attentive, and seamless. We began with the tuna appetizer, which was incredibly fresh with the perfect touch of heat and delicious, crisp chips. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich, my husband ordered the fried chicken and waffles, and it was hands down some of the best fried chicken we’ve ever had.

We’re already planning to go back to explore more of the menu and experience dinner. As if The Fort wasn’t impressive enough, this completely takes it to another level.

My wife and I recently visited this restaurant after seeing great reviews on Yelp, and we had a wonderful experience.

Although the location is tucked away behind the pickleball courts, navigating the parking lot was straightforward. We were immediately impressed by the modern, clean, and refreshing atmosphere of the building. We chose to sit at the outside bar and sample several items from the happy hour menu.

The deviled eggs were delicious, though the portions were a bit small. The spicy tuna tartare was also excellent, offering a refreshing flavor with just the right amount of heat. We particularly enjoyed the fried calamari, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

For our entrees, the smoky ribs were a highlight; the presentation with the smoke-filled dome was impressive, and the meat was flavorful and tender. The scallops were also cooked perfectly and tasted very fresh. We finished our meal with the passion fruit buttermilk panna cotta, which had a fantastic flavor profile that balanced the sweetness of the cream with the tartness of the fruit.

Overall, the food was excellent and the service was professional. Our bartender was very friendly and helpful throughout the evening. Since we live nearby, we look forward to becoming frequent customers.

My husband and I chose Florida Room for our anniversary and were genuinely impressed. Sasha was a wonderful server. She was warm, attentive, and her recommendations were spot on.
We started with the lamb sausage rolls, house made tater tots, and pimento cheese with house made focaccia. It’s hard to pick a favorite since they were all so good but if I had to pick one, I would say the tater tots were the ones that surprised me the most.
For entrées, we had the yellowfin tuna and the spatchcock chicken under a brick, both amazing and full of flavor. Cocktails were excellent, we ordered the Peachwood Old Fashioned (balanced with a slight hint of sweetness), along with the Golden Hour (reminded me of a Painkiller or Pina Colada in the best way) and Pickled Banger (spicy tequila-based drink that felt exciting and tasted great). We finished with the passion fruit buttermilk panna cotta, which was light, refreshing, and addicting.
There was not one dish we tried that we did not love. The only sad part about my evening is that I couldn’t try the whole menu. We are already planning a return visit with our families and are excited to come back to try everything else.
Thank you to Sasha and the manager for making our anniversary so special. I hope you guys continue to have all the success in the world!!

What a beautiful, delicious hidden gem! The food and service were a 10/10. Sasha, our server, was 100/100—absolutely amazing. Highly recommend checking this place out. I was so in awe that I forgot to take photos of our entrées but I did get pics of the appetizers, drinks, and desserts.

Keep up the awesome service and incredible food, Florida Room!!

5 stars all around. We found this place through Seed Oil Scout & love that they have such a great menu completely free of seed oils. Chris was an excellent waiter, who brought everything quickly and was full of knowledge on the restaurant, menu & whole place along with the history of the area. All food was amazing. We got the hot honey pepperoni flatbread and lamb sausage roll for appetizers, which were too good for us to even make time to get a picture. We sat inside, on the window looking out at the main pickleball court, which we had actually seen on TV wit the APP a couple days ago, without knowing it was here. Can’t wait to come back.
