Really enjoyed the carnitas trio plate. Good service, food came out quickly. The Salsa verde is really yummy. Reasonable prices, huge portions

Right away when I sat down their booth chairs were super comfy. I don’t recall a place with better. The restaurant was busy but I was still able to hold the conversation at my table without feeling like other conversations were bleeding in. The chips and salsa were good and plentiful. I really did like the salsa. I would come back for the salsa. I feel like the portion size was great for the price. The food was hot and delicious. The staff was friendly. It’s kinda in the corner so don’t forget about them when going out for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The restaurant smelled funny. The combination I had of a chili relleno and chili verde burrito were tasty, but a little bland. Relleno was nice and cheesy and the sauce on it was good. However, service was terrible and the guacamole was $13 for a scoop that didn’t even fill the bowl (appetizer size). The restaurant was NOT busy and everything except my main dish took forever. One of the servers was pounding away at something on a counter near the kitchen. No idea what she was doing that was making that noise – stamping something? She also sat there for at least five minutes while my churro dessert sat in the window before she brought it out. I don’t recommend the churros bc they are not as described on the menu. Menu says filled with cream and covered with caramel and chocolate. The churros I got were not filled with cream, they were chewy with very little sugar and cinnamon and there was no caramel. When I asked if the kitchen had caramel, the server said, “no, we don’t have that”. She did go double check in the kitchen tho. My server was nice, just slow and only filled my water one time. Overall, I would not come back, unfortunately, bc I love legacy restaurants.

A neighborhood restaurant hidden in the corner of a small community shopping center
.
On the search for great to good Mexican food in the Sacramento area. This restaurant was right under our nose located in the land park area.

Unassuming building outside, large outdoor covered patio seating. Attractively decorated both indoor and outdoors.
Service was outstanding, even with a busy crowd. Full bar available, and there will be live music on Cinco de Mayo with a brunch

As for the food it was great and prices outstanding. We ordered the chicken flautas made with flour tortillas appetizer and it was happy hour priced and a trio plate of a crispy shredded beef taco, chilli Verde burrito and chicken quesadilla. Served with Mexican rice and beans.
Also we noticed on the menu that the restaurant served menudo 7 days a week, and has a cup, small bowl and large bowl offerings. Something you don’t find very often.

The food was fresh, served hot and was delicious, even down to the chips and tasty spicy red salsa.

Give the place a try I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

The staff are so friendly and kind. The food is full of flavor, authentic, reasonably priced, and generous portions. My family and I go at least once a week. My favorite Mexican food spot in Sacramento❣️

I passed by this classic restaurant hundreds of times, and everytime I passed by, I always thought to myself to try it. I finally came here with my fiancé. Their food portions were huge. The mango shrimp ceviche was sweet and delicious, and my fajitas combo had tons of shrimp. I’m so glad I tried this place.
Also, Luckily, and without knowing, they had a mariachi band there, every Friday. They came by our table, and I requested Cancion de Mariachi… But of course, I forgot to record it. Lol. I had a great time 😀

All the food was from a can. Horchata is powder and cost $4. Albondigas were canned soup, super salty because they added rice to them. The black beans in the enchiladas were canned and the tortillas were cold, no flavor in the food. The salsa for chips is also canned. The worst place to be considered authentic Mexican food. So sad that not one thing was fresh. Never going back here. Over priced canned food!

Took my Husband here for breakfast & the food was absolutely delicious & filling too. Their customer service is on top . We had Jennifer as our server which she was consistently making sure we needed anything else to go with our food and drinks. We definitely recommend going for breakfast their food is made fresh daily…
I give them ten ⭐.Thank you for your dedication for making your restaurant as if the customers are coming to a family gathering to enjoy homemade food made with love & pride .

I decided one random day to stop and try this place, it’s extremely good. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is chill. They were having a birthday party on the patio, having a great time. The blueberry margarita is a must have as well as the flautas. 10/10

I was searching for some Huevos divorciodo. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we were even addressed. This was after several other guest were served. The light skinned Hispanic waitress was friendly to the other guest. She seemed to intentionally ignore us. The darker complexion Hispanic waitress saw us ready to leave and came to take our order. She was polite, kind and respectful. The other waitress only addressed us to pay the check. As an African American couple in 2025, it was beyond disrespectful and she SHOULD HAVE BEEN ASHAMED OF HERSELF.

The food was great the service was disrespectful and disheartening.
