Casual pizzeria draws locals for a wide variety of hand-tossed pies made with gourmet toppings.

Florencia Pizza was good overall and definitely worth a 4-star review, but there’s room for improvement. The food itself was solid . The waitress, however, seemed very burnt out no smile and looked overwhelmed. She appeared to be the only one serving alcohol to the entire place, which is a lot for one person . She also brought me ice water without asking, which I personally dislike. Not everyone wants water, and it feels wasteful to use extra glasses and labor for dishes .
I ordered a 12-inch cheese pizza the dough was light, airy, and delicious, though it could use slightly less cheese. I also got mozzarella sticks, which were plated on top of salad . That felt like wasted food, and they didn’t taste fried at all. If there’s no fryer, fried items probably shouldn’t be on the menu.
Overall, the experience was unique, and the food was good. With friendlier service and a few menu tweaks, this place has real potential to be great ️

I have been to Florencia Pizza Bistro twice with one of my closest friends, who lives in the Ahwatukee area. Both times have been great experiences for both of us.
The first time, I got a custom pizza with pepperoni, sausage, red peppers, black olives, and garlic. It was some of the best pizza I have ever had. Another thing I like about their topping is that they offer red bell peppers. When it comes to bell peppers, I prefer red bell peppers over green ones.
When my friend and I were done with our pizzas, we had the cookie monster dessert, and it was delicious. I would gladly order it again next time I visit.
On this most recent visit, I got the same pizza, except I replaced the black olives with mushrooms, and it was still an excellent pizza.
Both times my friend and I have visited, the service has been friendly, with our servers being friendly and helpful, while explaining everything clearly and offering suggestions.
I like the atmosphere as well. The lights are not too bright, and it makes for a nice, relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your food.
Florencia Pizza Bistro is the best pizza in Ahwatukee, in my opinion. If anyone is looking for a great pizza place in the Ahwatukee area, Florencia Pizza Bistro is an excellent choice.

Nice little pizza place. We visited on a relatively busy night, but the service was friendly and quick, and the pizza was very tasty. It’s definitely worth checking out this little gem!

Awesome pizza! New York Style, very doughy, very flavorful pizza sauce, ordered the Margherita to go and it took about an hour for a Friday evening around 5pm, but it was definitely a little busy upon pickup so very understandable and was definitely worth the wait! Paid $23 for this large specialty and highly recommend! Definitely would like to dine in! Place is very clean with friendly service and pizza was hot and fresh by the pickup time!

First time at Florencia and I was impressed. Florencia has a family friendly feel, but with adult offerings and high quality ingredients on their pizzas. We had a salad, meatballs, and 2 pizzas. Margherita with pepperoni with red sauce and one olive oil pizza, chicken a d mushrooms, The Winchester. Both were delicious! Definitely going back

First time here. From Chicago and I can say the pizza was equal to any I have had back home. Fabulous! The garlic bread amazing. The service was excellent also. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu! Thank you! Finally. A pizza in Phoenix worth going out for.

Been ordering the same pizza every week for 2 years. Quality and service became horrendous about a month ago. Gave 3 more weeks of attempts to get my standard pizza but it kept coming cold. Tried switching from delivery to pickup. Still cold and frozen like it’s not fully cooked. Came to store to pick up in person and they refused to do anything about it claiming I was late. They pulled out the receipt to show me I ordered 12:30pm. I arrived and have proof of payment at 1:04pm. I went back in to raise concern and was told I was late? 4 minutes shouldn’t cause a pizza to become undercooked.
Instead of resolving the problem, staff doubled down and refused to help. I’m asking for accountability here: this is not about lateness. It’s about consistently serving an inedible product and dismissing a regular customer’s concerns

Came here Tuesday evening for the first time. The restaurant was busy; so I sat at the bar where there was available seating. Service is friendly. I started with the small Caesar salad ($8.99) and fountain drink ($3.49). Looking over their menu I saw one pizza that interested me. The Zagar pizza: red peppers, Italian sausage, and mushroom ($23.99). The pizza came out fast as I wasn’t finished with my salad. Which by the way was a good salad. Chopped Romain lettuce, cheese, the right amount of croutons, and dressing. As for the pizza, the crust was very good. After that, it was a unique experience as there was hardly any sauce. The cheese was okay. I didn’t taste any mushrooms, and had two bites where I could taste the sausage. What I had found peculiar is this taste; this crunchy chewing as if there were sliced almonds on the pizza. I discovered sliced garlic. Don’t get me wrong; I love garlic. There’s a right way to cook with garlic. This, however, wasn’t one of them, and I had one piece that was pretty large. I brought this to the attention of my server when I boxed the leftovers to go. She offered to have another pizza made, and I said that it’s alright. Maybe I missed something about the pizza, and had a different expectation of what I was looking to get. Next time I’ll ask more questions before getting another pizza. Again, the crust was very good. I wished to have tasted more sauce. The cheese and other toppings then matter. We’ll see the next time should I return. Other than that, the restaurant is clean. Ample parking. And a lively crowd of people. Total + tax = $39.61.

We have been coming to Florencia for about 25 years, since they opened. We have always enjoyed everything, food, service, and atmosphere and today Fri, Feb. 13th, the pizza was beyond inferior. We ordered right at opening 4:05 pm and we were told the pizza would be ready in 25 minutes. I picked it brought it home and it was charcoal on the bottom and on the top. It was totally unacceptable. This is not the quality that is Florencia is known for. Whoever the chef this evening was needs more training. Waste of money this evening.

Disgusting! The mozzarella sticks were soggy because of the way they were packaged for takeout. The pizza was mid. The sauce was not good, the topping was too big. The cheese bread was missing all the toppings because of once again the way it was packaged. All of the cheese was stuck to the top of the aluminum foil. For my order to be $70 the food didn’t match the price tag. I do not recommend.
