We arrived in Akron late and were searching for a place to eat, drink, and unwind. Our host suggested a burger joint, but we were in the mood for something different and stumbled upon Flood Seafood Restaurant—a true hidden gem in the heart of Akron, Ohio.
From the moment we walked in, Diamond, our host, made us feel right at home. He’s a remarkable person, so treat him as you’d like to be treated. The service was outstanding; Diamond was not only the bartender but also our waiter, and he was impressively punctual and attentive throughout our visit. The vibe of the place was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a laid-back evening.
Now, onto the food—simply amazing! I had the shrimp and grits, which were far from ordinary; they were the best I’ve ever had. You could tell the meal was prepared with care and love. What surprised me was the addition of broccoli in the grits; it was a fantastic twist that elevated the dish. Plus, the portion was generous enough for two!
My partner opted for the popcorn shrimp and corn, both of which were equally delicious. Overall, Flood Seafood Restaurant exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return!

New spot in Akron its small but it’s really nice. Service was a little slow but our server was nice and kept us informed. The atmosphere was good there was a DJ and security at the door. There was 8 of us and all the food was good we tried a pretty good amount from the menu. Prices are good too. Definitely can see myself here more.

We had an amazing meal at Floods Urban Seafood! Our server, Pink, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Cameron (apologies if the spelling is off!) in the kitchen went above and beyond. Not only did he cook everything to perfection, but he also greeted us personally, checked on our food, and made sure to say goodbye as we left. His friendliness made us feel truly welcome.
The fried catfish was crispy and flavorful and the seafood boil bag and fried shrimp were absolute standouts. We loved the hush puppies so much that we had to order another round!

Absolutely delicious food!!! Superb customer service!! Very cool atmosphere! The gator bites, surf & turf, chicken wings, shrimp & grits, hush puppies, catfish nuggets, seafood alfredo & loaded waffle fries will have you in foodie heaven!!

Terrible experience! Brought my son here for some seafood… But it’s not a family-style restaurant I learned. It’s really just a BAR that does food too. The bartender that took our orders was nice but despite thinking the food would be ready in 20 minutes it turned into literally 60 MINUTES before we got our food and took it to go since we didn’t have time to stay and eat it. Only 2 other customers were in this place when we first walked in, so this was way too long of a wait!
The mandatory 18% gratuity was a slap in the face since we ended up not eating here, but I was just wanting to be done with this and get out. This is what $45 worth of food looks like…

The nastiest loaded fries I have ever had in life. Chicken was so dry and tasted so funny and funky I can’t even explain the taste the best word to describe it (poison) smh ugh just gross. Little lobster bites for 20 dollars not worth it. Left our food sitting up there for 30 minutes wasn’t hot or nothing just gross. No way they tasting their own food no way possible. Everybody in that kitchen needs to go to culinary school or something this is basic stuff. Everybody I was with food was nasty. I spent almost 60 dollars for that mess. What waste! Never again. Try to give them benefit of doubt. A prayer wouldn’t even help that food. Some of the nastiest food I ever had in life. No over exaggerating. Food exactly where it needs to be I’m the trash

I’m so surprised floods was so good when they first open. I think order everyday but today was horrible. The chicken was slimy I asked for extra crispy I don’t what this is. I hope it was just a bad day but I also notice new cooks please keep the food how it was when you guys first open. The dude cook was my hush puppies was also soft and nasty. The chicken was also bigger than normal I hate big wings. Looks can be deceiving this was not crispy. So sad it’s going to the trash.

Love this place. Came here for my first time with my step mom & grandma, order wings & got here in time for happy hour. Yes ma’am/sir they deff did their big one. I’m very very very impressed of how amazing the wings are. Not too crispy not too try just the perfect texture. I got mild mixed with glaric parm & I was in love. Also the presentation was a major success! Didn’t disappoint & will be back very very soon. Thank you for your amazing service & amazing food

I got shrimp tacos and fried green tomatoes. It was good, but the tacos were lacking. The shrimp were cut up into small pieces. I was expecting the whole shrimp. It could have had more filling in the tacos. Tomatoes were good. My cousin got fish and fries. Her fries were too salty. One of the ladies that was with me accidentally spilled her drink immediately after getting it. The waitress didn’t get her a new one or offer a new one. But still charged her.

Asked for a Cajun Alfredo, the sauce was bland and didn’t have a hint of spice in it. Service was horrible, it was like a social hour for the employees. Multiple people walked in the bar and walked in the kitchen that didn’t even work at the establishment. $60 for Alfredo & a chicken sandwich with fries is reprehensible. I’ve still yet to see anyone wash their hands but yet still preparing food.
