The food was decent. The service was bad (shocker). The waitress tried to be slick and trick me into tipping on top of the already added 18% gratuity. Its very urban so your purses get searched at the door and the music is really loud. I probably won’t go back.

If I could leave a zero for the service I would. Firstly, I text the number thats promoted on IG to reserve a table for my birthday 3/4 & no one ever responded. Secondly, my friend & i showed up there anyway because it was my first visit there being I’m from Dallas, TX and wanted to see what the hype was all about. The service was HORRIBLE! We sat for over 20min and NOT ONE waitress addressed us. I had to call for the gentlemen at the bar just for us to get water. We kindly gathered our things and headed to Starters in Southfield. Thanks for the hospitality to thus Texas chic!! Starters definitely has my business

This place is absolutely amazing and I was there on a MONDAY NIGHT but it felt like a SATURDAY NIGHT. The DJ played Hip Hop and R&B all night and was amazing. The food tasted so good I thought my Aunt was in the back making it The drinks and bartenders were so kind. Very safe environment right downtown. When I visit it is a must to go there everytime i recommend it to anyone on the planet that visits Detroit.

Very disappointed with the food and service! My sister had a booth for her birthday, we got seated and literally waited more than 20 minutes as plenty of servers continued to walk past us and say nothing! We’re literally sitting outside the kitchen so they definitely see us. No waters, no menu until I asked…. Who is our server, nobody has so much as spoke to us? The gentleman apologized and came back and gave us water. Then, all the food should come out around the same time, but NO! It was scrambled with 1-2 meals every 20 mins and it was 7 of us. The YAMS were very disappointing to say the least and tasted like badly seasoned canned yams. Very sad because the the vibes are great!

Went here as we were visiting in town and the only person nice was the security guard. The server acted as if he didn’t want to wait on us and the grandma at the bar act like it was an issue for a party of 6 to sit there mind you there was no one in the restaurant but 5 people. So we left i refuse to pay my money and be treated nasty. We were recommend this spot from a coworker from Detroit and let down.

FLOODS is my “GO TO” when I need good vibes, good food and good music. They are consistent which makes them different and always space for you to shake ya tail feather. The Mac and Cheese was BOMB. The fried chicken, Mac and cheese, salmon bites and lemon drop are all good for me. Free on a Saturday night? Try them out.

My first time checking out Flood’s and I’ll be back! I loved the music & laid back mature vibe. The lamb chops, greens, and yams were really good . The shrimp were ok, I’m just not a fan of beer battered fried stuff. Also I got a parking ticket lol do not park by the bus stop. And they add 20% gratuity on your bill even if you’re alone or sitting at the bar. I did love that they had happy hour until 9 pm on a SATURDAY night !! Wow !!!

the food has gone downhill for sure. the chicken, mac and cheese, anything battered and the collard greens are trash to say the least. over cooked, barely seasoned and portions aren’t great.
