Flo has such an amazing brunch menu. There’s something for everyone. It’s very reasonably priced. The drinks are really good! The variety of homemade hot sauces really does it for me. I highly recommend the carrot one. Their black beans are fresh and not mushy.

We sat at the bar for Sunday brunch. We were immediately acknowledged and given waters. I had the Huevos Verdes – ate it all up! It was good. We shared a mimosa flight, it was standard mimosas; we expected it to be served on a flight plate but it wasn’t. Would go back for the huevos verdes and a good catch up with a friend over brunch 🙂

easily my favorite spot in the area to grab an amazing breakfast. I never miss this spot when I come to Chicago. I love the bloody mary, the beer back, the food is on par. Unique and full of flavor. if there is a wait, worth it. OR be like me and get there when they open and take your time.

I am so glad that I stopped by this place! I was in the area for something else and it popped up as a recommendation. Kudos on having vegetarian options! The bar waitress was amazing! The drinks were not strong, but I was there for the food, so I was okay with that. The veggie burrito was AMAZING! I went to the grocery store the next day trying to duplicate it . Needless to say….I will be back! The food is reasonably priced, street parking only, and the wait time wasn’t too long.

Such a great brunch spot! Had the veggie burrito with black beans subbed for eggs and it was FABULOUS! We all had the green Bloody Mary’s and they are so good! Also the skillet with black beans subbed for egg. One of us had the breakfast with eggs and they were done to perfection! This place continues to be worth the wait! This was our second visit here! It’s usually on the must do list every time we visit Chicago. The Bloody Mary, either red or green, are amazing with the homemade bacon bourbon! Their special chilaquiles are always delicious as is the skillet! You can easily substitute black beans or avocado for eggs. Usually there’s a wait, and it’s so worth the wait. Service was excellent! Their smoothies are really top notch also! I love a good savory breakfast/brunch/lunch! This is a really AWESOME spot!

Nestled in a prime location in Chicago, Flo offers a seamless combination of urban convenience and culinary excellence. Its industrial-chic décor—highlighted by a classic wood-paneled bar—sets the tone for a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience. With attentive service, expertly crafted drinks, and dishes that strike a balance between bold flavors and comforting familiarity, Flo delivers on all fronts.

The meal began at the bar with two standout cocktails: the Golden Child Margarita and a Bloody Mary. The Margarita adhered to a classic recipe, eschewing excessive sweetness for a well-balanced profile that felt refreshingly natural—a flawless choice for a brunch drink. The Bloody Mary, by contrast, packed a bold, peppery punch, proving it can hold its own against any Chicago brunch cocktail.

Service started off steady, if unremarkable. I couldn’t help but note my tendency to watch the order in which patrons are served—a small, likely unreasonable expectation I tend to hold. However, that initial hesitation proved unfounded as the experience unfolded. Food arrived astonishingly fast—under ten minutes—rendering any earlier misgivings irrelevant.

The dishes themselves were visually stunning and generously portioned. My egg sandwich arrived on perfectly toasted bread, layered with just the right amount of savory ingredients, and was accompanied by crispy, flavorful potatoes. My partner’s chilaquiles with chorizo, meanwhile, were a showstopper: saucy, spicy, and bursting with flavor. Every bite of both dishes reinforced Flo’s attention to quality and balance.

As the meal progressed, the bartender’s precision and timing became undeniable. Drinks were expertly paced to enhance the dining experience, and their skillful management of the bar added a touch of professionalism that elevated the visit.

One delightful surprise was Flo’s trio of house sauces, each offering a unique profile to complement the meal. The standout was the fudge amarillo, a vibrant blend of garlic and carrots that added depth and complexity to every bite—a testament to how a thoughtful condiment can transform a dish.

In the end, Flo is more than a brunch spot; it’s a testament to how impeccable timing, bold flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere can come together to create a flawless dining experience. Whether you’re a stickler for the little things or simply in search of great food and drink, Flo is sure to impress.

I used to check this place out because it’s a local spot, but lately it’s gotten really weird. Instead of focusing on serving good food and drinks, some staff seem more interested in pushing political talk and swearing (“F-word” and other stuff) in a way that makes the dining experience uncomfortable. It shouldn’t feel like political theater when you’re just trying to eat — that’s a turn-off for customers.

Asked for recommendations on the burger and server confirmed they were good. Requested a medium well burger and was given a really RARE burger. Super pink inside and not my preference. I knew something was iffy once the chef came within 5-8 minutes from ordering from the menu. Mimosa flights are pricey for the cup size they provide. Was expecting more the way this place is rated. Appreciate that they took the order off the tab but not my first choice for the area.

Stopped by for brunch with some friends. We were able to sit outside because the weather was beautiful. There’s plenty of good options. The food was good, big potions. Drink prices are very reasonable as are the food choices. The service was fairly quick. That staff was nice.
