Flips definitely has good breakfast. Four of us have been here at least a couple of times and it’s constantly good. This trip I had their chicken and waffle. It was served hot and was clearly cooked with care. The fresh squeezed orange juice is delicious. All up, breakfast for four was just over eighty bucks, $100 tipped.

We were visiting from out of town and found this place near our hotel. 7:50 am on a Sunday our party of 7 got right in. Delicious food and great atmosphere. I had the French toast flight and it was AMAZING! Great comments from the table on biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, pancake flight, veggie omelette. We would definitely recommend!

The food was incredible. Even the kid’s meals looked so good and fresh – berries, fluffy eggs, toast. I got the strawberry cheesecake crepes and they are the best crepes I’ve ever had. My husband got the streak and eggs and it all came out perfectly. We also ordered a Mickey Mouse pancake breakfast (kids meal) and the kids’ chicken strips. All of our food was amazing. The service is quick, and our waitress was super friendly. We are out of town but I would make this a stop every time we are headed this direction. Highly recommend!

Ordered the southwest skillet. It was super delicious. My daughter ordered the classic breakfast. Came with a lot of eggs and the pancakes are fantastic!

Flip Pancakes in Iowa will always be known in our family as the home of the “No Miss Meal.” Every item that my husband ordered was a home run. It was enough food for two people to eat for two days. The pickup process was a breeze. The food was very delicious and the temperature was just right.

Overall I was fairly disappointed with our visit. We walked in and were seated very quickly. It went downhill for a while from there when I watched 3 different groups of people walk in, get seated, order beverages, get their beverages, and order food before we had even had someone stop to take our drink orders. One of these groups ended up having the same waitress as us, so despite being seated after us they saw service first. Naturally, these folks all had their food before us too.
When we finally got service and ordered our food things improved a bit. The food came out fairly quick and was delicious! The restaurant itself is very cozy and clean.

The cinnamon roll pancakes are so decadent and delicious it feels like it should be illegal. The carnivore omelette was the perfect dose of morning protein to balance out the sugar coma from the pancakes. Don’t sleep on this place, it’s phenomenal.
