Flint & Stave is a chef-owned restaurant on Fall Street in Seneca Falls, NY. A warm, unhurried place to gather over food made with real care.
Our menu changes with the seasons and leans on what’s grown and raised nearby: local beef, Finger Lakes Mushrooms, and house-made everything. Whether you’re celebrating something or just ready for a night that feels a little special, we’re glad you’re here.
Sunday brunch, full bar, Finger Lakes wines, and local craft beer. Gluten-free friendly throughout.
The kind of place that starts to feel like yours after the first visit.

Crab Rangoon Mozzarella sticks are my favorite. Caity & Amber make the best espresso martini shots. My stuff is in boxes bc I was going to take my food to go, the conversations are always so real & you never want to leave. The staff here really makes you feel wanted! I had dessert first & was going to take the food Togo. I ate it all here.

Really just stopped in for a pick-me-up after a drive, but so worth it! Their butternut squash soup is delightful, and the drinks – both with and without alchocol – were delightful. Will come again if we’re in the area. Remarkably pleasant inside, with comfortable chairs and lighting, and good airflow. Server was very helpful.

A spectacular experience from start to finish! The food was outstanding and the staff are inviting, knowledgeable, and attentive.
Their french onion soup is the beyond compare and exactly what I needed after being outside.
We got the crab farfalle and maple chili Brussels sprouts as well, both of which were deliciously hearty without that uncomforatable “I can’t move” feeling. We knew after the first bite we were in for a real treat.

I got a call, informing me that the allergens I had listed on the description part of the reservation they smoke into their drinks. I am asthmatic and I am allergic to flowers lavender and cinnamon. my entire life have I have never gotten a call to inform me or let me know that the things I’m allergic to that are around The restaurant. Nor have I ever thought that anybody has ever read the allergies in the description. I am blown away with the care and compassion of the staff! I have never felt more honestly seen in my life for a restaurant to call about my allergies to let me know!
I have been to restaurants that have straight up, lied to my face when I tell them about my allergies.(So obviously, I have had my fair share of not so great experiences)
They also offered to move me to their different location that wouldn’t be smoking the drinks but would have the roses that I am allergic to and I had told them that I might just cancel it just to be safe and they were so kind, There was NOT an ounce of annoyance or being upset.
I ultimately wound up, canceling my reservation just because of all of the allergies that I do have, And they were so kind and compassionate, and they weren’t worried about losing a reservation table. They were worried about my well-being being allergic to the things that are in that restaurant. Never in my life have I ever had such amazing experiences!
I Did dine there a while ago when It was a private party and they weren’t smoking anything and the food was amazing!
AMAZING STAFF!! And for all my allergy people out there this is the place to go!!!!
I also wanted to shout out their sister location star in downtown Waterloo also amazing surface and food

We had a reservation for valentines day over a week ahead of time, yes very busy ( I will give them that) although they should have planned for this. We waited 40 min for an appetizer, then asked for our salad, after that from the time we arrived 1:30+ for our entree. Wich had the potential to be delicious ( I will give credit where its due) … had it had been hot- ish, but BARELY warm semi cold, veggies were hard. No,I do not like them even mushy.. but hard!? Forgot to mention we sat in front of an open basement door that blew cold air, as ” no one ” ever came up or down and we had to eat with our jackets on, as did others 2 or 3 tables away! I can say the “hostess/ waitress was super nice and kind as well , and ” NO ” I/”we” don’t “complain” , as a costomer… We were starving at that point and it was Valentines day!! As a couple I didn’t want to ruin our evening anymore and I dont believe it was going to benefit us in any way at this point, clearly they were in over their heads, if they didn’t realize that and “want to “make it better”… ♀️ . Oh our bill was $165

I want to start my review by sharing I’ve worked in the food industry, and know what it’s like to be short staffed.
My husband and I went to dinner here before a concert at Del Lago. They had only TWO workers on the floor, one waitress and one bartender. No hostess, no food runner, no busser.
It took thirty minutes just for us to get our drinks. My drinks were made and sitting on the bar visible to our table. There was a point where our waitress came over and said “ your drinks will be ready soon” to which I politely pointed to them and said “they are right there.” By the time we got them they were room temp, and my husbands drink wasn’t what he ordered.
We ordered crab rangoons for an appetizer, which we heard was a star menu item. They came out on the plate like a mush of melted cheese, which our waitress did an acknowledge and take off our bill. We didn’t mind how they looked, but they were SO salty they were inedible. And there was no taste of crab.
My husband ordered a burger which both the meat and roll were crumbling apart on his plate. I had ordered a chicken ceasar salad which the lettuce was wilted. The French onion soup was excellent, but to be honest because of our experience it wasn’t even enjoyable. We couldnt wait to get out of there.
Those two workers were just trying to survive the night. At one point behind me someone broke a glass and no one could even clean up the glass for about 15-20 minutes. I hope the owners/management get some staff in there or that was not the norm and we just came on an off night. We won’t be dining there again.

We went there last night for Valentines dinner. We made reservations there as I tried to make reservations somewhere else before but they were already booked. We were quite disappointed with the overall experience. We came in sat down and shortly after ordered an appetizer of crab cakes. They took a little longer than expected, we waited 30-40 minutes, but were very good even though they were very small. Then we continued to wait hoping our entrees would come. We waited another 40 mins and ordered fries because we were so hungry and still waiting. They came in about 10 minutes. They were a bit over seasoned but decent and was kind of surprised they only came with a little bit of ketchup in a plastic cup. Then we continued to wait, our entrees came after 2+ hours and my girlfriend was very hungry as she hadn’t ate all day being excited for our date. The food finally came and I had the seafood risotto which was very good but could of been a lot hotter and the portion size was small. I only got 3 shrimp and 3 little scallops on a 36$ entree. She got the crab stuffed chicken and it was hot but the potatoes and broccoli spears were cold and the broccoli was barely cooked as well as the stuffing part was mostly cheese and barely any crab. If it wasnt for the fact it was valentines day we would of left as we were there for over 2 and a half hours and honestly it wasnt crazy busy as I have 10+ years of experience in the food service industry and know what busy is. The food was decent when it finally came but the service was mediocre, it was freezing cold inside as well as the overall experience was very disappointing. I watched a couple 2 tables over who were there before us and when we left they were still waiting for their entrees. My girlfriend wanted to look at the deserts because.the actual food was good but I told her no we dont need to wait another half hour. Overall we were very disappointed in the whole experience and will not be be back anytime soon as I spent 145+ dollars and watched numerous couples come and go as we waited for our food. We both said we should of went to parkers next door.

What a lovely restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy, the food was flavorful and very good. We had Seafood Risotto (small portion) and 8oz Strip Steak with scallops. For dessert Orange cake with cranberry filling, delish & small but adequate portion.
Came on recommendation of local friends, and we were delighted – will go back! Our bill for two was $150.00.

Bad diner vibe in a very nice room. The room is nicely built out with exposed brick, tin ceilings, stone bar, and nice light fixtures. Unfortunately the food and service don’t match the room. I like to eat at a nice bar but it was taken over by laptops, papers, and other inappropriate paraphernalia apparently belonging to restaurant staff. I ordered a strip steak at a high top but the wait person didn’t know what vegetables came with it. The “medley” of peppers, green beans and cherry tomatoes (?) seemed like an odd mix gathered from available options at the local supermarket. The steak and mashed potatoes were cold, despite there being very few occupied tables. The sad looking steak had no char or other flavor. The Finger Lakes Cab Franc was good. The place has no character. Do yourself a favor and just go to Parkers next door.

This was honestly the first restaurant experience in my life where, after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes, I asked when our food would be ready and the waitress told me she had no idea. That was not the kind of response I was expecting after such a long wait.
When the food finally arrived, I had ordered a seafood dish, and I have never seen anything like what was served. There were only about two shrimp and two scallops, and the rest was just oil. It was extremely disappointing and not at all what I expected.
The experience was so bad that while sitting there looking at my food, I literally called a Chinese restaurant to order takeout instead. Overall, it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience.
