We celebrated my dad’s birthday here on the outdoor patio, and it was an extremely special night. The wait staff was very attentive, kind, and professional. The food and wine was outstanding! In between each course, we were served small servings of chef specialties which were outstanding as well. Beautiful presentation for every dish, complex and delicious flavors, and the portions were just right for a pri fixe menu. I’m so glad we came here – it was the perfect place for a celebration. We will definitely be back!

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. No restaurant I’ve been to in a 75 mile radius of the Richmond area achieves haute cuisine at a higher level. Not just the food but the service. I started off with a Hungarian gimlet. They were attentive and professional regarding bringing my first course to the table after I had finished my cocktail. Many supposed high-class restaurants don’t understand the concept of pace. Classy touch to offer two additional surprise courses at no extra charge. The canapes and asparagus with hollandaise were phenomenal. Incredible red grape champagne with the oysters and caviar. The poached Lobster was prepared perfectly. The white burgundy was the best French Blanc I’ve ever had. Really interesting interpretation of lemon cheesecake. The coffee was hot and strong. Make a plan to dine here at your first convenience. You won’t regret it.

It was our first time going here and experiencing this type of food. We went for our valentines day celebration. Most of the food we did like was wonderful. The only downfall I have is the wait to get your food is soooo long. We got there at 6 and didn’t leave out of there til almost 8:30.

If I could give them six stars I would! The best meal I’ve had in a very long time. We went for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary, and it did not disappoint! They created a customised menu for us, it was absolutely spectacular, as was the food, the wine, the atmosphere, and the service. Could not give a higher recommendation!

Amazing experience, and the best dinner I have had in Charlottesville since Prime109. The food is stunningly good, and the service could not be better. Hat off to the manager, who really went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect.

I have a mixed review. I felt like the service and the environment were great, however looking at the experience as a whole I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. Perhaps I was naive and should have reviewed their website and other information before we went to eat dinner here as I didn’t know until we were there that it was set up with the 3 courses at a very high fixed price. That was okay to a point but the reality is that my party of 3 did not each need an appetizer and a dessert–as we would typically have none of those or share one. Then when all of the little extras are served throughout the meal, including an extra dessert at the end, it just felt like way too much food and took away from the main meal. They were all nice and fun to experience, but I am not sure who eats this much food. Lastly the dinner entree was not really as good as other similar options I have had at similar style restaurants. It was good, but not great. In the end, the bill was literally shocking, and much too high for what we received.

What an awesome hidden Gem! This French restaurant was incredible. The service was superb! The food was amazingly delicious! The Champagne choice was perfect! The atmosphere was beautiful. My husband and I were visiting Charlottesville for the evening and this place just added to a wonderful night! I would highly recommend if your in the area. It’s just off the Downtown Mall area. You can walk from your hotel. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Excellent!

My husband surprised me and made reservations for our anniversary here and everything was heaven sent! I did the wine pairing which was a fun way to explore the food. The complimentary appetizer was delicious! We also got a surprise soup and mini dessert for our anniversary which was so thoughtful! My husband is still raving about the lobster sauce and I was very happy with my tenderloins. Romantic and quaint spot! We will definitely be back 🙂
