The escargot was under-seasoned. They didn’t burn off the alcohol used in the cooking process. The steak wasn’t cooked evenly on both sides. The crème brûlée and the tarte tatin were really bad. The crème brûlée texture was very bad. Must be the non traditional way of making it with flour or corn starch. The tarte tatin was so sour. This is not the same restaurant that I’ve been to many years ago.

My partner and I made a reservation for 8pm. Despite this, they did not have a table set for us. One of the waiters sat us down, and another said he couldn’t sit us there and asked us to move. Still, We really wanted to taste some of their food, so we ordered escargots. Would not recommend. Something tasted off and the bread served wasn’t fresh. We ultimately made the decision then that what we had experienced so far was not going to be worth the pricey menu. We ended up next door for dinner. (Which was excellent – Little Italia)

By far, the best truly-French restaurant I have been to in a long time. We started our evening sharing a generous serving of home-made pâté de canard: two slices of the most delicious blend of meats (not gelatinous or mealy) served on a bed of fresh greens. As a main course, I had the ratatouille ravioli (garbanzola option): a gigantic serving of the traditional French Provençal vegetable stew served between sheets of fresh pasta and then baked with your choice of cheese (mine was the blue option). One of the friends I was sharing the table with last night had the magret de canard (duck’s breast), and it had all the wonderful properties you could expect from this other quintessential French dish. We close the dinner with some crêpes suzzette that were out of this world and helped us finish the bottle of chardonnay we had ordered!
But the best part of the evening was the atmosphere and the service the amazing Malo offered us: tellement sympa, ce breton!
This is going to become one of my regular spots. I have to go back to try their fish soup and meet the chef responsible for this great joint. I visited La Rochelle on the French Atlantic coast earlier in the year and this dining experience certainly extended the wonderful feelings that short vacation had left in me. Merci bien, Patrice !

I had an amazing experience at this French restaurant on my birthday in February. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a cozy spot in France .
The service was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented, making it feel like we were dining at a Michelin-starred ⭐️ restaurant.
The biggest surprise was when they dimmed the lights, played music, and brought out a dessert with a sparkling candle. It was such a thoughtful touch that made my birthday feel extra special.

The ambiance at the French restaurant was charming, and we were excited to indulge in some delightful desserts featuring fresh fruit. However, our experience was somewhat tainted as the fruits in our desserts weren’t as fresh as we had hoped. The strawberries seemed tired, and the raspberries appeared to be several days old. Despite this hiccup, the overall dining experience was still enjoyable, and we appreciate the effort put into creating such a lovely atmosphere.

We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Fleur de Sel. The portion were way bigger than expected as its a French restaurant the lamb dish was excellant as well as my husband’s halibut and our sons ratatouille. The appetizers were excellant as well. We had one in the group allergic to garlic and the chef accommodated the menu to her needs. The waitress was funny and lovely. Highly recommend and make sure you check out the bathrooms.

I would give 3.5. Owner is very friendly and nice but food is just ok. Serving bread is not the best quality, airy texture and dry. Steak was not cooking to our request. We requested rare, came out more than medium. Most worst was the fries. Not sure if it was re-fried. It was stiff. Mussels was fresh, sauce is “tasty” if it wasn’t so salty. Overall still a good experience, owner was friendly.

Nothing is better than an evening at fleur de sel. This place healed my heart and gave me more experiences of beauty than could fit in a novel. From opera singers breaking into song, to a one hit wonder air guitaring around the resto while his “hit” played. To a young handsome man from Nice proposing to his girlfriend. To Patrice the owners wild gesticulation and the worlds best mussels and frites….to a countess once sipping her drink by the window ….this place is everything that is anything and a part of me will die should it ever close ….
