Wisconsin is known as the Badger State in recognition of its mining tradition and we felt like lucky prospectors to find this jewel of Creole cuisine created by the very cordial proprietor Wendy, a recent transplant from Louisiana, who will simply delight you with the family recipes she learned growing up in the bayou.
We both had the catfish. It was amazing. Some of the best fish I’ve ever had. From my reviews, you can see this is something I take seriously. I haven’t tried everything, but I would say it’s definitely some of the best fish I’ve had.

I had them cater my housewarming party. Wendi was awesome to work with. We came up with a great menu and my guests and I LOVED the food. Her staff came to set up and made sure everything was as I wanted it. I will definitely use them again and in fact hired them to cater an event at my church. If you like dirty rice then you need to try Wendi’s. I also had the best Greek Salad I ever had in my life and that’s saying something from a person that use to be a banquet supervisor at a hotel.

One of us wanted a Mountain Dew and they said sorry it was still out in their car. That should of been our first clue The food was awful . We had ordered a variety of sandwiches. We had pull pork that looked like it was 3 days old. Gumbo soup that was cold and the cook said she just took it out of the pot. Which they should have asked if we wanted before the rest of the meal. One of us asked for fried onions on her burger and they were raw onions. One of us ordered a burger that they want it medium well more on the well side and colored juices were running out of it.
One of us had a chicken sandwich with a side salad. Which they would ask if they want the salad before the meal or with the meal.
We tried express our concerns to the server and we thought he was going to cry. We asked to speak to the cook.
Which she came out to speak to with us.
One of us tried to give the cook suggestions and flew off the handle.
She said I have been cooking for customers a long time and don’t need your advice.. The cook made a comment well that there were only 4 of us. What difference should that make . Our food should still be hot. One of us asked she had heat lamps back there. She said I don’t cook with heat lamps. You don’t cook with heat lamps you use them to help keep the food hot. We will not go back to this place again

If I could give negative stars I would. Recently had catering done by this establishment for a wedding. They text the bride a half hour before her ceremony to ask when they should bring the food, when this was already established long before the DAY OF THE WEDDING. They then delivered only half the food and the “caterer” left for over 20 minutes. We ended up lighting everything ourselves and calling to see if they would be returning, upon return we where informed that the person they sent was “just the bartender”. The second half of the food was delivered and finally set half hour past the dinner time. The food was nothing like the taste test and most of it was cold. When we went to the establishment the following weekday to inform the owner of what happened (not to ask for money back, all though that is what should happen) but just to inform her, she stopped us before we could even tell her her and told us to “get out of her establishment”. So unbelievably unprofessional and absolutely disgusting behavior! To top it all off the bride was informed several of the guests experienced diarrhea after the wedding. Would never recommend – hopefully they won’t stick around town for long. Poor management, poor service, poor food, don’t go go here if you want a nice event!

Really great catfish for being this far north, I didn’t get the Gumbo but another one in my group did and was happy that they did. Will be wanting the gumbo next to try myself. Very satisfied, the owner/chef set up a game of pool for use shortly after we ordered since we came in a little early for the dinner rush.

I cannot recommend this new restaurant enough on the quality of its food…at least what we had so far, lol.
I am a catfish snob, eating it whenever i can find it. Their CATFISH was EXCEPTIONAL, the best I have had since a place at the Kentucky Lake Boat Launch! It was delisch!!
The barbecue beans were top notch; the hushpuppies were top quality.

They have the best catfish around, the gumbo is perfect, and I couldn’t have asked for a better smoked bbq pork sandwich.
