I arrived at 2:57pm and called the number in the email. Apparently, there was no record of my order. The person assured me it would be ready in 15-20 minutes.
After waiting over 30 minutes, I called again. They finally brought it out after waiting another five minutes.
Inside the container were two tiny crab cakes. Certainly not worth 29.00 dollars. In addition, the extra sauce I requested was missing.
Overall, this was a very poor experience. I feel like I got ripped off, leaving a sour taste to the point I will be hesitant to return. This is unfortunate, as I have dined at this restaurant numerous times and always had a pleasant experience.
Shame on you Fleming’s. For the price you charge, you should do better.
We ordered drinks, salads, the bone in ribeye, creamed spinach and loaded baked potato. Everything was great! The steaks were the best seasoned steaks we have had in a very long time. It’s the kind of steak where you are completely full, but you keep eating because it’s just too good to stop. Lol! We will definitely be back, it was too good not to.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is inviting and sophisticated. The exposed kitchen added a nice touch to the ambiance, enhancing the overall dining experience. The menu offers a good selection of prime cuts of steak and seafood dishes, catering to diverse tastes.
Initially, the service was warm and welcoming. Our server was patient and friendly, promptly taking our orders and delivering cocktails and soups without delay. The cocktails were particularly enjoyable, as they were not overly sweet. However, as the evening progressed, the service quality declined noticeably. After the initial interaction, our server became less attentive, resulting in a lack of check-ins. This lapse in service was particularly evident when my husband’s medium-rare steak arrived overcooked, to medium-well. Due to the server’s absence, we chose not to wait and informed her only upon her return, halfway through our dinner. The floor manager did offer to recook the steak, which my husband politely declined since, at that point, it seemed impractical. Consequently, the manager offered a complimentary dessert, which was appreciated.
Despite this gesture, the overall service fell short of the standards expected from a high-end establishment, especially given the premium pricing. The inconsistent attention, coupled with moments of perceived rudeness, such as overlooking a simple water refill request, left us feeling undervalued.
In comparison to other upscale steakhouses we have visited, Fleming’s did not provide the level of attentive service we expected. For a restaurant that prides itself on providing an exceptional dining experience, the staff’s handling of our meal and overall interaction was disappointing.
In conclusion, while the food at Fleming’s has potential—my steak was well-prepared, and the presentation, especially the sear, was impressive—the service did not meet expectations for a special occasion or justify the premium pricing. For an upscale dining experience, particularly when celebrating significant events, the inattentive service and mishandling of key moments detracted from what should have been a memorable evening.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Fleming’s for special occasions. However, it may be suitable for more casual dining where service expectations are lower.
