The Must-Visit Place!
I ordered Mutton Sukka, Ghost Biryani, and Tandoori Chicken. The Mutton Sukka was juicy, featuring large pieces of meat and a generous portion size. I have never encountered such a substantial serving anywhere else. The Sukka was very flavorful with the right blend of spices; it wasn’t spicy but was packed with taste.
The Biryani also had a good quantity, with large pieces and excellent flavor. The Tandoori Chicken was authentic, cooked perfectly in the traditional tandoor style, and served on a sizzler plate with vegetables on top. This is what true Tandoori should be like.
One must definitely visit this place. The restaurant is clean, and the ambiance is pleasant. The service is also commendable.
I will certainly recommend this place and plan to try other dishes in the future!

A cozy spot with limited seating—just 5-6 tables with ample space for parking. We didn’t order much, but the Mughlai Chicken was a highlight: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly tender. Tried the Chicken Biryani too. While the chicken and rice were moist and well-cooked, the dish lacked the bold spices and aroma that define a great biryani. Good quantity for the price. Service was quick and efficient.

I ordered goat dum biryani on Doordash and Unfortunately, the food did not seem freshly prepared. The rice was dry and clumped together, and the meat looked dry. I was concerned about the overall freshness and food safety.
I hope the restaurant pays more attention to food quality and proper storage practices. This was disappointing.

Food was INSANELY BLAND ! Ordered the mild Butter chicken and medium chicken tikka masala – each $18 and they were so soupy and watery that with the $4 SINGLE slice of naan, it would barely pick up any of the sauce up. I admit I was expecting decent because of the many 5 stay reviews but this whole meal left me thinking ‘what a waste of money and food’. I truly hope the meal my family and I got tonight does not reflect the restaurants normal quality because this was BAD. On top of it all you think that the cost— if it’s not for the quality of the food, would be for quantity but it’s not. I’m still so shocked at the disparity between reviews and what I tasted…

They charged me more than what the displayed price on their menu cards as shown below. Food was too spicy and kids couldn’t eat. I usually purchase from their meriden location which I recommend. Plus they charged 10% gratuity without even asking me. Place is a scam. Pls avoid the place.

We had a truly memorable dining experience at Flavor of Nawab. From the very first bite to the last, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and bursting with authentic Hyderabadi flavor.
We started with a few appetizers that set the tone beautifully—rich in taste and perfectly spiced. The mutton and chicken curries were incredibly flavorful, paired perfectly with soft, warm naan. But the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Chicken Dum Biryani—fragrant, tender, and cooked to perfection. Every bite felt like a celebration of tradition and taste.
You can tell the food is made with passion and respect for authentic Hyderabadi cuisine. We enjoyed every moment and every dish. Highly recommended for anyone craving real, soulful Desi food!

Wow!! The food and service far exceeded my expectations. Not only was the service great, but the food was certainly made with love, care, and quality. The flavor of each bite was absolutely amazing, and the portions were extremely generous! I recommend Flavors of Nawab 100%! I will be back very soon. I truly appreciate them! If you want good food, this is the place to go!

Poor quality chicken with bone and lots of tendons still attached. No attention paid to the food quality. Picked up a to go order and there were no utensils or napkins. The server was rude when I picked up the food and when I called to remind them of including silverware for to-go’s he simply said he wasn’t doing it.

This is a Hyderabadi restaurant specialising in South Central Indian cuisine so my wife and I had to try their gosht dum biriyani and it was a treat! It was better than the hotel brand biriyani we had at Hyderabad international airport during a layover there. This place serves your typical North Indian cuisine too and we tried their dal makhni and chicken murgh masala curry with roti. The curries came with a big portion of complementary white rice. Default spicy setting is medium but we ordered extra spicy and that was eye watering level of heat at least for myself. Id probably go medium from now on. The mint lime drink we ordered was so nice, what a nice palate cleanser. Looking fwd to trying their indo chinese selections. Our first Indian restaurant experience in CT after moving here from Long Island, NY and I must say it was a tasty and a pleasant one. They do charge 10% gratuity but the tip suggestions when you get the check range from 1% – 7% so you will never end up double tipping say 25-30% on your card. Restrooms were clean. We did not experience an over the average wait time for our food (as other reviews claim) but that might just be because the restaurant was less busy when we went there. Prices are very reasonable!

Absolutely delicious!
The flavors were rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. I’ve only tried two dishes so far – the Aloo Tikki Chaat and the Chicken Dum Biryani – and both were absolutely amazing. From now on, this will be my go-to spot for snacks and meals. Highly recommend trying those two dishes – they’re a must!
