We went for the first time over Ethnic Expo weekend. You would think since they’re right next to the expo they would’ve prepared to be busy. Sadly they did not, so they were extremely understaffed. We sat down at 7:50 and had to flag someone down at 8:50 because we still hadn’t received our appetizers. We watched people get seated all around us and receive their food. No one even came to bring us bread or anything to accommodate the fact that we were having to wait so long. If you know you are understaffed and people will be waiting offer Bread or something on the house to munch on during the long wait. The staff was not apologetic at all, nor did they check on us one time after we received our food. Honestly I would give this place a 1 star if it wasn’t for the fact that the food was good. That is the only thing saving them. I will return because of the food, hopefully by then they will have improved on everything else.

Flavors of India is a great place visit if your looking for something tasty to eat in a comfortable welcoming invironment. Great place to bring out the family or if your single it’s a very nice place to bring a date. Dining area is clean and cozy staff are friendly and prompt, food is very delightful and made with care. The placement of the food on the plates and portions are a sign that the chef has experience and prepares well ahead of time. The menu gives you lots of choices to choose from and beer or wine is also offered for those over 21 years of age. There is also tables outside the restaurant for those who enjoy the outdoor eating experience. The restroom is public and very well maintained. Restroom is also baby friendly and offers a changing station and wet wipes. The dishes and cutlery was very clean and spot free. I give a thumbs up to the owners for providing Columbus with such a warm welcoming and cozy place to eat. From the beginning to the end of my visit with Flavors of India I had a awesome time and a memorable one. The host, server, cooks and dishwasher all come together and make it happen. A good team effort and the hard work shows in the service. I give Flavors of India a perfect score. I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do.

Went here for anniverary dinner on Friday. I’d done takeout before for myself, but hubby and I had never gone there just the two of us. I got the Vindaloo, which was delicious. I also tried the South Indian coffee, and it was so good I asked how they made it. It was probably the best coffee I’ve ever had. My husband ordered one of their Chai teas, and while I’m not a fan of Chai tea normally, it was really good as well.

Not my first choice for Indian food in town. Employees don’t really know what they’re doing which results in delayed pickup orders and sub par quality of food. Often feel like I can cook better food at home than these guys offer. I’ve still been here a few times trying to see if it’s a one off experience or it’s consistently bad. Usually they’re late on pick up orders(citing system glitch), and get started after you’ve reached there for pick up.

We came for dinner on a weekday evening and had a delicious meal. We ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and Chicken Avakaya. The Vindaloo was great but the Avakaya was even better! It was a new dish to us and very uniquely delicious. We appreciated that they have many dishes on their menu that other restaurants don’t offer and we look forward to trying more new dishes in the future.

Ordered thru door dash tonight. Everything tasted good, however the biryani was way too spicy for not being able to select how spicy I wanted it. Since Door Dash doesn’t give that as an option, maybe always make it mild since it’s hard to enjoy a dish when you can’t tolerate the heat or ask them to make it so we can select level of spiciness. The garlic naan was good, but I think $5 is a little much for two pieces of naan. No other Indian restaurant charges that much.

We went into Flavors of Indai for dinner on a Friday night around 7:00. They were not very busy and we were seated right away. The waiter did a good job serving our table. We ordered tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, and a side of naan. The tikka was well cooked with a smooth, mildly spicy sauce. The rice it was served with was tender and flakey. The tandoori was hot and moist, server over a bead of sautéed vegetables which were also perfectly cooked with just a bit o crunch left in them. The naan was also hot and soft. It was the perfect side for sopping up tikka sauce. We will definitely be back, probably for a weekend lunch so we can try their buffet (only available weekend lunches.)
