Stopped by Flavors Bakery in Cullman and was greeted right as I walked in. They have a large selection of baked goods at fair prices, and when I asked if the offerings rotate, the staff explained that only their holiday items change seasonally. You can actually see the team preparing baked goods in the back, which adds a really nice touch and gives the whole place a warm, open feel.

I tried the orange roll and it was fantastic—soft, fresh, and full of flavor. They also offer coffee, with a clear menu posted up front. The shop itself is clean, bright, and well-kept, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The ability to see your pastries being made right behind the counter makes the experience even better.

Great service, great atmosphere, and great baked goods.

I try to visit as often as I can. The service is amazing, you’re always greeted warmly with a smile.
I also have tried so many different treats & have never been disappointed. The biscuits are so fluffy, the gem pastries are incredible & all of the dessert bars are 10/10.
You can tell they are made with love!!

I’ve been enjoying visits to Flavors Bakery & Homemade Ice Cream in Cullman, AL for several years now, and it continues to impress every time. Whether I’m stopping in for a quick pastry, an ice cream scoop, or a relaxed coffee with friends, it hits all the right notes.

From the moment you walk through the door at 101 1st Ave NE Suite 100, you can tell they care. The aroma of fresh‑baked goods fills the air, the open kitchen allows you to see technicians at work preparing cookies, rolls, cakes and more, and the décor is charming—warm wood tones, glass display cases packed with tempting treats, and cozy seating.

What I particularly love:
The pastries: Their orange roll is legendary (and trust me, after several visits I understand why). The muffins, scones, cookie cakes and bars are consistently excellent. One trip recently I grabbed a cranberry‑orange walnut muffin and a lemon bar—they were both fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.

The homemade ice cream: It’s a rare treat to find a bakery that also makes real homemade ice cream in‑house. Whether you go for a classic vanilla or something more adventurous, it adds an extra layer of delight.

The coffee and drink options: They serve Toomer’s Coffee and the custom‑syrup bar lets you personalize your drink just the way you like it. It’s a real step above your average bakery in that sense.

The atmosphere and service: The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and efficient. The seating areas are comfortable and bright, and the place feels like somewhere you can linger—not just pick up and leave. It truly has more of a “coffee‑house vibe” than just a grab‑and‑go bakery.

If I had to mention a couple of minor points for improvement:
Because the bakery is so popular (and rightly so), some of the best items—like the orange roll or certain specialty bars—can sell out early in the day. I’d suggest going earlier if you have your heart set on something specific.

Seating can fill up on busy mornings, especially when locals drop in, so if you’re planning to stay awhile with a laptop or a book, aiming for a slightly off‑peak time helps.

In short, Flavors Bakery & Homemade Ice Cream is a standout in Cullman. Great quality baked goods, real homemade ice cream, excellent coffee and a welcoming space—that’s a winning combination. I’ve been back many times over the years, and every time I leave feeling satisfied and looking forward to the next visit. It gets a full 5‑star rating from me.

Cullman is sort of known for baked goods so I wanted to stop and get a few pastries before we headed home. This place had good reviews and was next door to a coffee shop, so double win!

Very cute little bakery inside. Nice places to sit, cute old timey knickknacks and baking relics — my mom got a huge kick out of the old KitchenAid mixers. Even though it was later in the afternoon, they had a decent selection of desserts. A friendly employee greeted us immediately and was helpful with checkout and bagging.

I chose a smaller orange roll based on the recommendation of lots of reviewers, as well as something a bit more unique to me: a sweet potato and pecan muffin. Somewhat unusual combination that sounded super good!

I split my treats with husband later that evening. The orange roll was solid — the soft and yeasty roll was the best part — though for me the orange glaze was a little too sweet. That’s how I usually feel about orange rolls though so if you really love them you’ll probably like this one! The muffin remained remarkably moist and the pecans were so nice and toasty on top. It was very subtly sweet and had lots of nice spices. Would love to try more muffins from here!

Thanks for the yummy treats! Definitely hope to return someday to try the pie bars, strata, and more.

Good food but always run out of treats instead of making more, make the same amount every day. Should learn what sells out and make more.

I enjoy getting to come to Flavors Bakery with my family and friends!! The Christian music they play throughout makes the bakery feel peaceful, which creates a joyful atmosphere. Also try a delicious dessert or a savory quiche from the display case. I looked to more days of making watercolor art with my Mom here at Flavors Bakery. Definitely coming back! ☕️

A co worker brought surprise pastries to our office, all the way from Cullman to Madison. They are so delicious. Possibly the best bakery items I’ve had. Each different one was amazingly delicious!

We stopped in on a Saturday morning and immediately loved the vibe. You immediately could smell cinnamon, and we loved all the decor reminiscent of baking back in the day. There were a few groups in the bakery enjoying the morning and talking story. I was hoping to try a cinnamon roll, but they were sold out, and the next batch was proofing, so I got a pumpkin muffin. It was delicious! My husband ordered the cinnamon chip muffin and coffee, and he loved both. We will definitely be back to this spot when we are in the area visiting my parents.

We often get Saturday breakfast (to-go). Orange rolls are always amazing, as are the cinnamon rolls. We love the strata and crustless quiches, and recently I have enjoyed the cranberry orange walnut muffins. Everything we’ve tried is delicious, and the coffee is great too.
