Reviews
Dropped by Flavor Rich in downtown Atlanta around 11 AM on a Saturday for brunch with my fiancé–no reservation needed, and we got seated right away. The staff delivered solid, attentive service from jump, making the whole vibe feel welcoming and professional without being stuffy.
Prices sit in that premium-but-fair range: not cheap, but nothing outrageous for the quality and portion sizes you get in the heart of the city.
My fiancé went with the fried fish, and it was seasoned to absolute perfection–crispy, flavorful, and clearly done with care.
But the real MVP? Those Brussels sprouts. Straight-up to die for–perfectly roasted, seasoned, and addictive. Easily one of the best sides I’ve had in recent memory.
It was our birthday weekend, so they surprised us with a complimentary piece of bread pudding. I’m not usually a bread pudding person at all, but this one was fire–rich, moist, and just the right amount of indulgence to cap off the meal.
Ambience-wise, the spot is clean, modern, and upscale-casual with that nice urban energy. Noise level hovered between mild and heavy–lively enough to feel alive on a weekend brunch crowd, but never overwhelming.
Overall, Flavor Rich nailed it. If you’re in downtown Atlanta and want elevated comfort food with great execution and thoughtful touches, this is the move. Highly recommend–will definitely be back.
Notable observation – I love the open kitchen look, however upon leaving we smell like we were next to the fryer – highly recommend better ventilation
Atmosphere:
The ambiance was amazing—definitely a vibe. The music was great and set the tone perfectly for a fun birthday brunch.
Service:
The waitstaff moved quickly and were very personable. While there was a bit of extra wait time for some requested items, the servers were friendly, relaxed, and clearly took pride in their work, which was appreciated.
Food: The fruit platter was beautifully presented and generously portioned. Easily enough for 4–6 people, which makes the $18 price point reasonable. The fruit was very fresh, though it lacked natural sweetness and tasted less vibrant than expected. Because of this, the yogurt accompaniment became the primary way to enjoy the fruit. Incorporating more in-season selections could elevate both the flavor and overall experience.
I also appreciated the birthday recognition. The staff played a birthday song and gifted me a complimentary dessert, which was a kind and thoughtful touch. The dessert had a very unique flavor profile—similar to a blend of bread pudding with chocolate chips—topped with Fruity Pebbles and vanilla ice cream. While it wasn’t bad, it is definitely an acquired taste.
Overall:
Flavor Rich offers a great atmosphere, kind service, and thoughtful birthday gestures. With small adjustments—particularly around seasonal ingredients—the experience could be even better. I’d still recommend it and appreciate the effort that went into making my birthday feel celebrated.
From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The vibe is relaxed but vibrant — perfect for a laid-back weekend brunch with friends or family.
Now, let’s talk food. We tried the Fish and Grits, Vanilla Bean Waffles, and the Simply Breakfast, and each dish was cooked to perfection.
The fish and shrimp were crispy and seasoned beautifully, paired with creamy, buttery grits that made every bite comforting and satisfying.
The Vanilla Bean Waffles were light, fluffy, and subtly sweet — a delicious treat on their own or drizzled with syrup.
The Simply Breakfast was just that: simple, fresh, and perfectly executed.
To top it off, the Cucumber Mint Lemonade was incredibly refreshing — the perfect balance of sweet and tangy with a cool hint of mint.
What really sets Flavor Rich apart, though, is the customer service. Every staff member was friendly and attentive, making sure our table had everything we needed. It was a pleasure to meet Chef Chris, who personally stopped by to check in and make sure we were enjoying our meal.
That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and made the experience even more memorable.
Overall, Flavor Rich Restaurant delivers on every level — great food, great people, and great vibes.
It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back before you’ve even finished your last bite.
We’ll definitely be back!
