Absolutely disappointed with this restaurant. I placed a carry-out order, and the food quality was terrible. To make things worse, I found hair in the food. It completely ruined my meal, and I had to throw everything away in the middle of lunch.

The customer service was just as bad. The short lady who seems to be the owner’s wife was extremely rude. When I went to pay, she even asked if I “wanted the change back,” clearly implying I should leave it as a tip. She kept hovering and questioning what I was getting, and when I mentioned that one of the buffet items was empty and needed to be refilled, she told me to “just get something else” instead of replenishing it.

This entire experience was unacceptable. I’m definitely not going back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I used to love this place but had a really negative experience that has confirmed I will never go back.

I called in a takeout order and my husband went to pick it up. They gave us an order for another Kara, and told my husband it was paid for. When he brought it home I realized it was a DoorDash order and called the restaurant to see if I could pay for it. They told us we had to come back into the restaurant to pay, and I asked if they wanted me to bring back the food that was the wrong order. They said no.

When we came in to pay, they tried to get us to pay for both orders. I said I didn’t want to pay for all of that food, so we would just pay for the order we have at home. They insisted that we needed to pay for our original order and then bring the incorrect order back into the restaurant if we weren’t going to pay for it.

I told them I didn’t want to have to pay for their mistake in more time (going home and coming back AGAIN) or money. I also said it is not sanitary for them to resell the food that has been opened at our home.

Finally my husband intervened because we weren’t getting anywhere and we paid for our original order and my husband took back the wrong order. I realize we could’ve just kept the food but we are committed to doing the right and honest thing.

This was really bad business. They lost a loyal customer and referral business for $40 worth of food.

Trust me order veg biryani, the most spicy level. You will have a taste of a lifetime.

Looking for something different in the area, decided to try some Indian food and found Flavor of India.

The restaurant it’s self is smaller with a handful of tables.

Staff sat us pretty quickly, and followed all current covid standards.

The menu has a nice selection of items and we so chose several.

Main was a non vegetarian sampler and it was absolutely delicious! We added some bread and rice plus chicken as well and made a feast for 4.

We enjoyed all the food, so why only 3 stars?

Honestly a star lost on overall cleanliness, not saying it wasn’t clean at all but I have high standards.

Also while enjoying dinner there was a couple in there with the loudest kid in the world who ran wild with no one asking him to stop and really became annoyed. The parents or staff should have asked to calm and quiet the child.

We had the lunch buffet, open from 11 to 2:30. While the number of dishes wasn’t impressive, the food quality certainly was. I was a little skeptical tbh when we entered the restaurant. However, my impression changed for the positive pretty quickly.

The restaurant offers both veg and non-veg items in the buffet. The food was delicious! What stood out was the absence of the overwhelming spice level (not talking about hotness) and the resulting smell often found in below-average Indian restaurants. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I particularly liked the Punjabi vegetable dish made with cauliflower and daal. The mango ice cream and rice pudding were also great. Other dishes included plain rice, naan, bhatura, veg polau, tandoori chicken, chicken curry, saag panir, veg korma, veg pakora, etc.

The service was fantastic! The owner/manager came out to ask about how the food was. The server was also very helpful.

Stayed in Springfield for the night, ordered some food from here and I couldn’t have been happier with it. The butter chicken was delicious, it paired with the rice was awesome and the naan was perfectly made. Highly recommend.

The place was okay, but the food was not hot the food came out room temperature as if it’s been sitting on the counter for a minute. It had no seasoning. And the sauce that they bring out, they reuse it.I watched the waiter, sit the sauce back on the counter. And then give it to someone else at a different table. If you go do not use the three different sauce that come with the garlic na.

While ordering online, we stated in two seperate places to not include any peas in the order.

Naturally, this was ignored and there were peas in the fried rice.

The manchurian badly breaded and burned where the breading was missing. Largely flavorless aside from heat.

The chili paneer was dyed red. I understand the dish is red, but our chili paneer was intentionally made to be more red than needed.

I would not order again.

This was my first time dining at Flavor of India. The staff there were friendly, attentive, and took time to explain the spice levels of the dishes. The food was flavorful, and staff were able to tell me what dishes were gluten-free. I would recommend ordering a rice dish because not much rice accompanied the main dish to mix with the sauce. I will try different menu items when I return.

I found this gem of a restaurant by luck. The flavor is very authentic: robust, full of flavor, and each dish is orderable with an accurate spice level of 1-5, 5 being the hottest.
The dishes are prepared with minimal salt and no preservatives.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
