I ordered the crab fries, catfish and grits with a blueberry crown drink. The crab fries were good and would order them again. The catfish and grits were good but the grits came out lukewarm and there were not really collards on the meal. The collards were more of a small garish and had a lot of stem vs leaves so I could not really get a true taste of them. The fish came out hot and was fried perfectly. The drink had too much sour mix. We sat at the bar and our bartender name Justice, she was nice but very slow. People beside us mentioned the same and it wasn’t super busy during that time. My friend had the bang-bang shrimp which were delicious and the rattlesnake shrimp pasta which she said was good. I would go back and try something else.

This was our first time here and we will be back! Lexi and Tori were our servers and they were awesome! They came by often to check on us and kept us topped off on drinks. The food was delicious. No complaints whatsoever. The fried green tomato appetizer was our favorite. Even our 11 year old boys loved their food, especially the fries. For a family of 4 with both adults having cocktails, the price is comparable to going out for sushi and just as worth it.

This was the highlight of our NC trip. All the dishes we ordered were spot on. We purposely ordered different protein and carbs and everything were cooked to perfection! I also like that I was able to make reservation online, it was very convenient. Just a bit improvement on the service is needed. Our server seems new and my husband’s beer got a little too much foam than we would’ve preferred. He didn’t order another beer after that. Then our bill had an 18% gratuity included, we were willing to pay it for a party of 2. Good thing the manager caught it and took it, we liked the honesty and ended up tipping more for that. Overall, it was a great experience. We love the food so much, we’ll visit again if we get a chance.

First time eating here and it was worth it! The quality of food and the servers is great. I had fried catfish and grits and it was amazing, the first time I ever had fried catfish too! The biscuit chicken bites for appetizers were eaten so fast I couldn’t get a picture of them lol. (Husband said they were good!) My family had the waffle burger and they enjoyed it. The waffles were so good even by themselves. The dishes here are full of flavor, they definitely live up to their name. The portions are great, plenty of food on the plate. The desserts are amazing too, the peach cobbler and the baked brownie tasted like they were straight out of the oven. This restaurant is a higher end one and a little pricey but the ambience, service, quality of food & staff make it worth it! Great nostalgic music too. My family and I are now fans. Thank you Flavor Hills staff for the wonderful dinner experience!

Joy was very informative about our choices and the size of the portions. I liked the little extra spice to my dish, I had the fried catfish, and my wife particularly enjoyed the not-overcooked roasted brussel sprouts, they were just right.

This place is absolutely the bomb! The food is amazing, our waiter Markell S was the best! My husband and I came for my birthday and it was amazing! I will absolutely be coming here every time I have anything going on! As a server myself I expect a lot from my fellow industry workers and he delivered!
Edited 8/6/24- I came back with my grandmother while she was in town, not only were my expectations met and exceeded but she absolutely loved it as well. She is from New Orleans and has traveled the world and had shrimp and grits from all over (picture included) and she was very impressed! The Cajun shrimp and grits here were better than some she’s had in the city of New Orleans herself. As someone who’s also from Louisiana I have to agree, usually when a dish says it’s “Cajun” it disappoints me because it’s not anything actually close to home but I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend the shrimp and grits to anyone!

The atmosphere is amazing. The food was delicious. My personal favorite was the greens. The only negative I would say is that everything is overpriced. 3 boiled eggs cut in half, and deep fried is nearly $20 bucks. The prices being charged is like if we lived in NY or something. I would definitely be a regular if they did NC prices. Aside from the prices, the quality and vibe are on point!

First of all, my waitress Lexi was excellent! She was personable and very informative about the menu. This was my first time here, I’m from out of town, but this is my home town. I was so happy to find this restaurant, when I was invited by a local.
The atmosphere was awesome and I felt very comfortable. It was CLEAN on the floor and on the tables. The chairs were clean and comfortable. The menu was easy to read, and so there were so many options that looked amazing.
We got the fried deviled eggs! I highly recommend, they were amazing. I got the catfish and grits. Oh my god, I had to close my eyes, it was so good. Seasoning was right on point. My fellow patrons loved their meals. I tasted the chicken and waffles, and the bite was amazing.
I look forward to trying this place again, or going to my local location in Raleigh. I want to go through the whole menu.

When I first walked in I stood at the counter. There was 2 workers there talking. Not once was I acknowledged. They even walked off. Then came back and asked where I wanted to be seated. I felt like at least she should have said “I’ll be with you in a moment”. That kind of rubbed me. I sat at the bar, and Khadijah was such a delight. She was so friendly and attentive. She gave recommendations and the drinks were bomb. I really appreciate the excellent customer service from her. The food was AMAZING!! Knowing this was a black owned business was the icing on the cake for me. Will definitely return.

Stopped in with our family of 7, including 4 children and 3 adults. We were pleasantly greeted and seated within 2 minutes. We were also invited to the anniversary fun day happening on July 27th (I believe).
Our server, Shelby, was friendly and polite, very attentive to making sure our children were happy. We received our beverages quickly and she answered all our questions about the menu. I must say, she was the best server we’ve had in a long time!
We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, and they did not disappoint! So delicious!
Our food came out shortly after, and everything was good! I tried to get pictures of everyone’s meals, but they were already diving in.
My salmon was perfection, seasoned well and cooked just right. My husband had a chicken ceasar salad that looked and he said, tasted delicious. He wanted to go back the next day to have it again, lol.
The children enjoyed chicken and waffles, shrimp fettuccine alfedo and our oldest had the rattlesnake pasta with shrimp. She said it was really good.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and r&b music, very laid back and not too loud.
A+, highly recommend, and we will return!
