We at Flavios Brick oven Pizza and Bar on siesta key beach at 5:20 on 11/21/2025. We were asked if we had reservations but didn’t. It feels fancier than a pizza joint and they stuck us way back in a dark corner near the bathrooms ( or punishment). Our server was Christina and was nice enough didn’t do anything out of her way for us. Inside is pretty dark we got to order at 5:37 for my Peroni beer which was $8. We ordered out pizza at 5:42, I ordered a Hawaiian and wife got Basciola. We started eating about 6:00 which seemed long the place was not packed. The crust is thin and had a lot of char which is good, red sauce was light and not full of sugar. My Hawaiian was ok not great. Wife’s had mash potatoes and mushrooms on it and was bland, a lot of pepper helped it. She liked the pizza ok because she never had one like that before. Christina could have checked on us but didn’t till time for the check. Question, would I go back? Probably not , the pies were just ok and service wasn’t great.

Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant from start to finish! The atmosphere is lively and bustling, so be ready for that, but even though it was very busy, everything ran smoothly and we never felt overlooked.
The food was delicious (pizza and lasagna), flavorful and was a nice change of pace from fried fish and other typical beach food. The cocktails were the best of the trip, in my opinion.
What made the experience more fun was our server, Alessandro. He was funny and attentive, despite how packed the restaurant was. He made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations.
Great food and service, definitely recommend.

What a disappointment. From the first interaction with the host it was not what you would expect for the prices they charge. The host was not friendly, you could almost say rude. We got a table, sat down and the service was terrible. I enquired about the bread basket, “oh its coming”, never came. I think we spoke with the server 1 time. We waited for ever and nobody came to check on us, ask us if we needed anything etc etc. We waited over an hour for our food. First dish, Shrimp and Scallops over spinach. Scallops were undercooked poorly, shrimp was shriveled up and over cooked. The best part of the dish was a single fried potato. The lemon chicken was ok but sloppily prepared, decent flavor and the side pasta dish tasted like something you would get at chain restaurant, it certainly didn’t wow you. For the prices they charge you should expect a better meal, add beyond normal slow service, poor atmosphere and this place is one to avoid. Take a few minutes and drive up the street to a more quiet well refined dinning experience at the restaurants near Mortons

My sister and I wanted italian our first night in Siesta Key, and Flavio’s did not disappoint! Alessandro was very attentive, knowledgeable, and so very kind. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, and it was the perfect start to our vacation. We hope to make it back again soon!

Amazing staff and service, social but relaxing atmosphere. 6 of our 7 dishes were
delicious with the exception of one dish I would not recommend. The Pappardelle ai Porcini had no flavor, poor mushroom texture and definitely not a Cacio de Pepe sauce. Was disappointed for the price. We would definitely return.

wasn’t impressed with the food. Underseasoned. Other waiter took over where our waiter fell short.
Vodka sauce tasted watery.
Risotto itself was okay , lemony flavor, but unseasoned shrimp.
I guess you need to please all the tasteless tourists that flow through here.

Stopped in for a late night bite. Felt a bit like we were an inconvenience with the host, but our server was great. Ordered a wood fired pizza & black camel martini. Both were very good and came out pretty quickly. Pizza tasted fresh and well balanced. Also got the tiramisu- not the best I’ve had, but still decent.

At some point, a restaurant becomes so “established” in a tourist area that it stops caring about people and starts caring only about volume. Flavio’s has clearly crossed that line.
This place feels like it’s running on autopilot: the charm is gone, quality is gone, and customer service has been tossed out with yesterday’s leftovers. When you know there’s a steady stream of tourists walking in no matter what, effort becomes optional, and it shows.
The low point? A fly in my water. The waiter’s solution was to pour the contaminated water into a new glass, top it off, and tell me, “It’s not going to hurt you. Just drink it.”
That wasn’t just bad service, that was pure indifference.
From there, it was downhill. Cold, inattentive service. Food that was genuinely bad. And then the punchline: $242 for three people. Five-star prices for food and service that wouldn’t pass at a strip-mall diner.
This place reminded me of McDonald’s, not because it’s fast or consistent, but because it no longer cares. They know one bad review doesn’t matter when ten more tourists are already lining up outside. The problem is, when you stop caring long enough, people notice.
Flavio’s didn’t just disappoint, it fell flat on its face. The art of good food and good service is gone, replaced by profit-first complacency. I wouldn’t recommend this place in 100 years, and I’d strongly advise anyone looking for quality to keep walking.
Tourist trap. Overpriced. Appalling.

Did not get off to a good start when they seated us at a high top with chairs that had the front rung broken off so our feet were dangling. Two of us got numb from that. One of the four seats was so close to bar seating that people were constantly bumping into you.nFood was mediocre at best. Salad was good. Pasta came out in a sticky wad. Only one of the four at our table thought their meal was good. I expected homemade meatballs but these were probably from a restaurant food service. Blech . The cocktail was okay. The by the glass wine selection was limited and with unknown origins. They were out of reisling. How does that happen when your by the glass selection is crappy anyway? Won’t be back.

If you are looking for authentic Italian food with a great atmosphere this is the place! We stumbled upon Flavio’s after the sunset in siesta key and were so glad we did. Scratch made dishes, indoor or outdoor dinning, authentic charm.
