Flashbacks Fountain and Grill is located in Aquarium Village next to the Discovery Petting Zoo. When you arrive at Aquarium Village turn right at the Orca (black & white whale), we are half way down on the right. We are take-out and delivery only, no dine-in. We previously rented a full service restaurant, which are the pictures you see. (We cannot remove pictures customers posted.) We moved from the full service restaurant in 2025. We have fresh, hand-pressed 1/4 lb Angus hamburgers, sandwiches, snacks. And the best homemade shakes, malts, and sundaes! Everything is made to order. Thank you for choosing us and understanding. I stumbled upon this oldie but goodie restaurant off the beaten path in Newport, the Ultimate Bacon Burger was incredible, along with their delicious curly fries that were mouthwatering good. Definitely worth the visit, just be prepared their isn’t a dining area inside or nearby which caught me off guard.

My family and I really enjoyed our time at this restaurant. The service from the employees was outstanding and very friendly. I liked his hospitality and kind work. Everything was well prepared and carefully brought out. The milkshakes were very tasty. The burger that I ordered was good other than the patties being somewhat dry. Other than that I think I will be coming again in the near future!

I’ve been coming to Flashbacks since I was 10 years old so 13 years now and they still have the best burgers in town! I ordered a burger and Marionberry lemonade today since they’ve moved locations to a food truck at the aquarium village and they have the same friendly, fast service and the food tastes just as good if not better! I am completely convinced the owners carry their business with nothing but love. I highly recommend their food if you are ever in town or even local. Thank you flashbacks for always being so great!

Friendly staff; nice location. A little pricey but they give you your money’s worth. Got a basket of curly fries and they were scrumptious! (basically like Arby’s curly fries) Also got an ice cream sandwich.

I had a major pregnacy craving for some good old fashioned fries and these fries exceeded my expectation! They were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The man that was working the counter was extremely polite and offered multiple condiments, napkins, ect. It was just all around A great experience 10/10 recommended!

The food was pretty good overall; the atmosphere is pretty cool; old diner drive feel inside but the outside absolutely does not give that away at all. Service was on the slow end but she was friendly attentive and kind. Overall a fun little place to stop in for a quick American food pit stop on the coast! Loads of dessert options as well!

Absolutely amazing food. Husband got a giant mushroom burger with an equally giant onion ring on it with the seashore fries, demolished the whole thing! The club sandwich and curly fries? Loved! Only bummer is there’s really no seating as its outdoors, but you can look at everything in aquarium village while you eat!

Husband and youngest and I had hamburgers here today for lunch. Owner served us and has excellent customer service skills! Very friendly and attentive. Hamburgers are delicious, juicy and cooked perfectly. 1/2 lb was more than I could finish! Tator tots were crispy and everything was hot and fresh right out! My daughters food came in a cool paper car box that she gets to keep. Dessert was a chocolate milkshake, hand scooped hard ice cream. Such a good meal and experience. Note: it was not busy, food prices are average – $13-19 for a burger, there are other choices as well.

This is the best “dive” burger shack I’ve ever had. The outside of the building looks old and rundown. The inside looks like a diner straight out of the 50s (which I’m pretty sure it is).
The food was excellent! It was fresh, hot, and fast. I had the 1/4 pound Beach Boy Burger with regular fries and my burger thick, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The fried were crispy and were perfect dipped in their tasty ranch dip! I also ordered the marionberry lemonade, and they use a very generous serving of real marionberries, not the flavored syrups most places use. My lemonade had big whole berries in it.

I’ve been eating at Flashbacks for almost 20 years when I come to the coast from Corvallis. I miss the atmosphere of the eat-in restaurant, but the food remains excellent and window service was great – friendly and fast! I’ll keep going as long as they keep cooking! The shakes are delicious too!
