This small spot in Venice was worth the visit. We stopped for breakfast and it was delicious! Specifically, the banana pancakes were some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Highly recommended and we will visit again for sure!

I gave 5 stars cause the service and atmosphere was good, the food was eh. For a place called flapjacks I thought the pancakes would be better. Kind of dry, and the hash browns tasted off. Everything else was good though. This place is very small and you might have to wait a bit to get in.

We’ve gone here a few times and always had a great experience. The food is great, but unfortunately last time we went. We were asked to wait about 20 minutes which is fine, especially because we are in the busy season but when I asked if we could just order a couple of coffee while we wait, we were met with nothing but I attitude and told that if they were to do that, they’ll be running a coffee shop outside and couldn’t help us. And we would just have to wait like everybody else. I have no problem waiting like everybody else, but was just hoping to enjoy a coffee while we waited. Because of this attitude. Unfortunately, we will never be returning to this Establishment. It’s a real shame. That one. Really poor experience with a server. Can really destroy all the good that restaurant does.

My favorite café. Good sandwiches and breakfast. Good selection. Just love the strawberry/banana waffle. They’ve had some really good soups but hard for me to get there before close most days. I try to get there at least once a week and I think I just talked myself into another waffle…. gotta go

Loved this little place the other day for breakfast. We had great service and the food was hot and fresh. Can’t wait to go back when we are in the area again. Get there early as lines form outside and you may have to wait on a table. Enjoy!

First time customer. We got there a little before 11 on the 18th. Waitress was nice until we mentioned we just moved from out of state and started our new jobs, I lamented the fact that there was next to nothing to rent except places that were 30 + minutes away and the cost of living was a little high even for our decent income. Waitress basically told us to go back where we came from. It felt very personal on top of the fact the unsolicited “advice” made us feel unwelcome becuase we were out of state. We have full time jobs and are contributing to the local economy by bringing our business to local places such as this one. The charm of venice is the abundance of local business and lack of huge corpo businesses… if this is how they treat new comers, I csnt imagine how they feel about the tourists that bring even more money and stimulation to the economy. Will NEVER come back again.

Breakfast food is pretty good here! The inside is pretty small, which is why I gave it one less star. The mimosas are good and come with fresh strawberries on the glass. They have some good hot sauces, a couple of super hot sauces in the back if you ask for them. They provide some jams on the table for your bread. They have specials on drinks and food every day that are written on the board. I’d recommend for breakfast/brunch if you’re looking for a small, cute spot in the area!

Flapjacks has wonderful food, service and people. They only do breakfast and lunch, but you won’t find a bad item on the menu. Today we went all in on breakfast. Their sausage gravy is a winner!
