I went to this hibachi buffet for lunch and paid around $15. Overall, it’s a place to get a lot of food for a low price, but the quality is just okay. I didn’t try the hibachi grill or the dessert bar, so I’m unable to comment on those.

The standout items were the grilled beef and the fried shrimp. The beef was cooked well, flavorful, and tender. The shrimp was perfectly crispy and well-seasoned, easily the best thing on my plate. The sesame balls were also a highlight—they were soft and had a great oily texture, although they were on the smaller side.

Unfortunately, many other items were disappointing. The sushi selection was very limited, with only one type of nigiri (white fish) which looked dry and was thinly sliced. The spicy tuna roll didn’t taste like spicy tuna, which was strange. The deep-fried sushi was cold, and the gyoza was bland and lacked a flavorful sauce. The vegetable dishes were also subpar; the green beans and boiled corn were both bland. The baked scallops were particularly dry with a weird, mealy filling instead of the creamy texture I expected.

This is a good spot if you’re looking for a cheap place to eat a lot of food, but don’t expect a high-quality buffet experience.

Flaming Buffet is one of my favorite restaurants in NOVA. I visited the restaurant almost biweekly after the pandemic crisis. The food is great with huge selection and good quality. The service is prompt and polite. Overall it’s a place to enjoy meals with high CP value and pleasure.

Good is always fresh and hot..BUT.. the service is bottom barrel. Today we walked in, you can tell the dude seating people didn’t want to be there and his actions towards us proved it. He was rude in the beginning and rude at the end.. This is use to be the go to spot for me. But I’d rather deal with Great American or Golden Corral.. at least these places understand..LEAVE YOUR PROBLEMS AT THE DOOR..

Ain’t no way this is 3+ star…. Zero flavor in the dishes and all the food are sometimes left out way too long. This is the first time I went back in like 1-2 years and I can surely say, I do not miss the taste anymore… This place absolutely sucks, if you wanna get your Chinese buffet fix, you might gotta go out to Fairfax or woodbridge.

Dear manager

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to express my concern about an incident that occurred during my recent visit to your restaurant. While eating my meal, I discovered a small worm on my plate, which appeared to have come from the broccoli.

The manager on duty mentioned that similar cases have happened before, but I believe this should not occur, even if the food is properly cooked. Finding a worm in my plate made me feel very uncomfortable and concerned about food safety. Shortly after eating, I also began to feel nauseous.

After doing some research, I understand that these types of vegetable worms are generally not harmful to humans; however, it is still unacceptable to encounter them in a served meal. I am sharing this feedback to encourage stricter food inspection and quality control so this does not happen again to other customers.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Milton A. Mateo

Best lower end buffet in Manassas. You’ll love it if you’re a shrimp or sushi person. I would have rated higher, but the mens bathroom is a filthy mess, they recently raised prices, the food could be a higher temperature, and it’s hit or miss getting dirty dishes removed. All in all, we’ll continue to return. Prices in photos were current as of 5/28/2025. Two adults with tax and only water is now just over $30. Prices jump to the Sunday rate on ANY federal holiday.

Took family and kids here for a quick eat otw to DC. It was not great, you can tell that the food has been sitting out. Lack of flavor, overpriced. Only thing that was average was the sushi bar and hibachi.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Honestly was shocked how many good reviews this place has. I don’t expect 5 star dining I just wanted to see if this was a decent place near me. Went on a Saturday night and expected a decent buffet. Everything is frozen, nothing fresh. Even the meat at the hibachi was raw frozen logs you had to hack off in order to get it cooked. As you can see by the pictures, even the buffet was no good, everything meat, chicken, seafood screamed food poisoning, and tasted like it too. It was clear how little care was given to the quality. The buffet was empty for over 30 minutes and when I asked for them to restock they only refilled the low mein noodles….nothing else. I really gave it a genuine, non biased chance and this place has really let me down. Never again. I’d steer clear if I were you. The pictures speak for themselves.
