3/8/26 walked up around 6:45, three employees behind the counter. Made eye contact with all three and all continued to close their department and clean. No “hello” “hi how are you?” “Hi,we will be right with you”. Nothing. The two males working went to the back and flat out ignored me. YAZMIN, who seemed bothered and inconvenienced that she had to stop what she was doing to actually do her job and help a customer. She was huffing and puffing with an attitude like she wasn’t clocked in but had to work or something. She wasn’t even aware of what they were sold out of. Said she didn’t have chicken , then came back with attitude about her not having rice or beans either. She seemed happy she didn’t have to help a customer further, due to be out of everything needed to complete a meal on the menu. It’s in managements best interest to place all three individuals in a department with little to no customer interaction required. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had at an HEB. I can’t imagine how they will operate when they get a real job, if they ever make it that far.

Went to South Flo order a pizza. My favorite employee was working freeman great job as always. He was also dealing with a very rude lady that couldn’t wait few minutes for a beer. I also went and got my self some chicken for family dinner never had it before it was so good and Matt who helped me was top notch very kind and helpful just like freema I will be definitely going back for a chicken fajita bowl thank you Matt and freeman made my family dinner and my night very good

Sometimes chicken can be overcooked and dry. My last visit the gentleman intentionally left out the included onion and jalapenos and tortillas that come with the large meal. I asked twice before paying to make sure that it was in the to go bag. And with a smug face he falsely assured me. I shouldn’t have so much trust in HEB employees. Nothing there when I got home. And the kicker is…. he told me that corporate was discontinuing the beloved poblano mashed potatoes. A definite favorite with me and many others that got our chicken there. In fact, the mashed potatoes was a huge reason as to why we decide to eat there. All that did was lessen the appeal of this eatery. Who is in charge of these decisions? Lastly, inform the employees that customers want what they paid for and to make sure and include EVERYTHING that is in the order when the customer pays for it. Good luck.

I was so impressed with how thorough they were as well as how much they helped me putting the food together in my ice chest and carrying it out to my car. No mashed potatoes. We usually get takeout for the family every week but the kids won’t eat it now because they used to love the mashed potatoes and the veggies taste like crap.

We love getting Flaming Bird for lunch before we shop. The food is amazing and we’ve never had to wait long. The servers work very hard and always make everything exactly how I like it. After moving from Alabama, HEB and Flaming Bird are some of my favorites things about Texas!

We absolutely love the original Flaming Bird roasted chicken meal for an easy, inexpensive dinner. (Beware the roasted corn tho – it’s usually *really* spicy)
I can’t wait to try the loaded baked potato, and the loaded waffle fries.

“New management” has lowered meal portion sizes to amounts that won’t even feed an adult according to the bearded server claiming they’ve been serving the wrong portions for YEARS… and now management is being stingy over rice portions. Way to go corporate.
