I drive past Flaming Amy’s weekly and always see it packed and a lot of good reviews, so I had to check it out myself. The atmosphere if the place is fun and interesting. The counter staff was very friendly and they give you a 10% discount if you mention you have tattoos. I ordered build your own burrito and they come with chips and salsa bar. They had a large variety of items on their menu. The burritos were large and were good but nothing out of this world. The salsa bar had several selections , i was expecting more flavor from them same as the burrito. I would say try if you would like a lot of food for a reasonable cost. Maybe you would enjoy it more than I did. Id say give it a try and decide for yourself.

We went to Flaming Amy’s Burrito Barn – shaped like a big red barn but this is their backroom lol the rest of the place has no theme purge than chaos & sarcasm (which I loved!!) but this 1 room is all Elvis & I’m totally there for it lol
Pros: The food, honestly was yummy. Hot & fresh. There were 5 of us, 3 burritos & 2 quesadillas. 3 Marines in our party & we still left with leftover boxes of food! The ‘dillas were made with 16″ tortillas! All of us had hot chips to go with the salsa – they have a cute self serve salsa bar – I didn’t get photos of the bcuz the place was fairly full & it was 2pm on Sunday, so some people got snippy about my photo taking. We got queso blanco to go & asked for travel cups for our pop, which was self serve also.
Cons: Between the music & the full house, it was pretty loud. I could talk to the person next to me & across from me, but not the rest of the table. Also, I ordered the Philly Burrito – basically a Philly cheese steak – it had the meat (which was seasoned & juicy!) and had the cheese & tomato, but they veggies were absent – zero mushrooms, and only a few onions/peppers at the end of the burrito. Honestly, if the meat hadn’t been so yummy, I’d have been irritated. But since the meat was so good, I honestly didn’t mind lol
Overall, nice, casual dining where you get your money worth.

This place reminds you of a local style Chipotle or Qdoba’s. It has great food, and the service was top notch. You walk in, go to the counter and order, then they assign you a seat and they bring out your food. You have a self-serve salsa bar with several options. The place was clean. Personally I did not like the decor. I think the restaurant could use a revamp in that area. Food, service, and price were all 5 out of 5! But the atmosphere was a 1 out of 5, it could definitely use a little more life! Maybe less skulls and crossbones, some brighter colors, and a little more freshness would make a big difference in my opinion.

Finally checked out Flaming Amy’s. We have heard a lot of great stuff. First off the vibe is really cool. Kinda funky and eclectic. They have a large selection of burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and bowls. They have plenty of entrees or you can create your own. We went with their recommendations. The burritos were a good size and came with a helping of homemade chips. We loved the salsa bar with a variety of mild to hot salsas. We also ordered queso which was delicious and came in handy to dunk our burritos in. The ingredients in the burritos seemed fresh. But something just seemed off about it. Maybe it was not hot enough or something. The service was fantastic. We would definitely try it again and maybe do a bowl this time.

I had high expectations of Flaming Amys but unfortunately it was not our favorite burrito spot. I think the choice of my burrito was my mistake but I usually love greek! My husband got a normal burrito with chicken and the works and it was almost tasteless? I think the sauces were definitely fun to try and were yummy. I also liked the atmosphere of the place! If I were to come again I would try something else!

The food is massive! Oh my goodness!
Loved the salsa bar. Must try the wasabi salsa. I took home a pint of it!
Great value for the money and friendly staff.
Building is quite old but it adds to the quirkiness. Dog friendly outdoor area. Everything is self serve. Even the to go plates and the clean up. They ask you to bus your table.

The service was fast and the servers were very polite. The atmosphere is great and you get a good portion of food for the price. I got a taco salad with their house made Chipotle ranch. It was very good. The chicken could have been seasoned a bit more in my opinion but they do have a salsa bar to spice any meal up a little more. It had multiple flavors of salsa and I tried the green tomatillo which was mild but flavorful.

We went in last night at 8:30- the place was clean! The food came out very quickly and it was perfect. DELICIOUS! Chicken Thai Nachos are my favorite and they didn’t disappoint. The employees were so courteous and just plain genuinely kind. I want to make sure that they know it’s not common in the majority of restaurants in Wilmington now. They get 12 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you!!!!

Great food in a cool atmosphere at a great price! They have lots of burrito choices and also a salsa bar. I tried each salsa and they were delicious! Service was friendly and we received our food quickly. My burrito was good but then I noticed none of the shrimp were deveined and neither were any in my husband’s burrito, so that is what knocked the score down. Would love to try other burritos sometime!
