This is a Nigerian restaurant. Coming from a country boy raised in South Alabama, this place is amazing! I ordered everything spicy. The chicken gizzards are exceptionally good. They were very generous with their portions. Everything was hot, fresh, and deliciously seasoned. They were very friendly and gave me a very generous to go order to take home.
I was raised in the deep south. If you like comfort food, this is the place that you are looking for.

The food is amazing!!! Came to Atlanta to renew my passport and decided to do only Nigerian food because why not?!
Before flames, I ate at 2 others and I’m not going to put them down but…
Found flames the day before my return and OMGG, it was fabulous. Abula-on point!pounded yam and efo-slick!!, pepper soup-tasty and spicy (I missed having catarrh because of pepper soup ). Thank you!!!

I’m not new to Nigerian food, but when I say I was delighted throughout this meal. Everything was so flavorful and well balanced. We ordered meat pie, gizzard and plantains, goat and suya. They gave us nice, meaty pieces of beef for the suya that wasn’t just fat. And the seasoning was immaculate. We also order jollaf rice with fish and efo with fufu. Everything was amazing! The service was great and the staff was sweet. I will definitely come back. Especially for the meat pie!

Poor customer service extremely slow and rude . Kept assisting other people instead of taking care of the customer in front of her. Waited almost 1 hour for my food . Food was cold because it was sitting out and the portions were very small compared to the price . I don’t know if I was treated badly because I’m American but that’s exactly how the lady with blonde locs made me feel. I spent over 100$ and she treated me badly .

My brother and I always come here. My brother has been eating here since the restaurant opened. It’s one of his favorite west African cuisine restaurants in Atlanta.
The food is decent and fresh thankfully
and the lady who is the owner is also very welcoming and polite.

Stew had an acidic undertone. Service was just ok. I’d rather pay more somewhere else with better food and service.

The okra soup and fufu was so nasty and plain you can tell they didn’t even use palm oil or none of the ingredients that’s pose to be in okra soup I will never ever go back there again the food was way off flavor. I normally go to ayo but they was close do to renovation they are the best hands down

Only giving 3 stars for the gentleman that welcomed me in the restaurant. One of the cooks was not that welcoming. I felt like I was bothering her so I asked her how her day has been just to sike myself into not leaving….I was trying to compare a couple of African restaurants in the area….this spot definitely will not get my return. The food was bland….no flavor at all. Toyin is definitely much better….which is the other restaurant I tried….ordered the same dish and hands down Toyin will put this restaurant in FLAMES!

After trying just about all the African restaurants in the area, I can say without a doubt FLAMES is the best! Customer service is great, prices are comparable and portions sizes are good. Definitely would recommend and are a repeating customer.
