It was just over $69 CAD, so around $50 USD.
The poutine was good (kinda hard to mess up fries and cheese curds with gravy). The spring rolls were also good. But I had to go back and ask for the sauce as it wasn’t originally included. Nor was the tarter sauce for the fish. Sigh.
The rest of the food – fish, burger, and fries – were garbage by themselves. If it wasn’t located where it is – in the welcome center with the falls right there, we wouldn’t have gone to be honest. But we were hungry and it was right there so we took a chance. Never again.
Seating is also limited. We were here on Valentine’s Day and it was decently busy. I can only imagine how packed it is in the summer time when it’s peak season. That’s actually scary to think about. Quality is not here and prices are too high considering the food is crappy.
I got salad instead of fries and it was fresh too. Ever though, it’s little pricey – taste was good and filling.
We ordered “Cheeseburger” and “Nashville Chicken Burger”. The beef patty’s texture didn’t imply “real beef” and definitely didn’t taste like one! Nashville Chicken burger was better, but had an unnecessary sweet taste to it!
The fish in the fish and chips was HUGE! The breading was good and it wasn’t fishy tasting. The fries it came with were girthy and could have been more crispy.
The apple pecan goat cheese salad was delightfully fresh. The sweetness from the apple and candied pecans balanced well with the creamy tartness of the goat cheese. The spinach, arugula, and misc. lettuce salad was a wonderful blend and didn’t include even a single wilted leaf!
The ketchup crisps must be a Canadian thing. I get the idea, it’s like ketchup and fries in a potato chip but it somehow makes real ketchup taste fake. To me, this is how confusion must taste.
I tried to talk to the staff about my experience, but they were not very helpful or accommodating. They seemed disinterested and didn’t offer any kind of compensation or apology.
Overall, it was a really unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s important for restaurants to take pride in their food and provide quality service to their customers, and this burger joint failed to do so.
