Great taste in the paneer items. Good for dine as it has good ambiance. The appetizers were served quick enough but main course was delayed a lot. We had to request attention. It was a weekday and still felt short staffed. Only downer was that the samosas were stales, probably double fried and were too oil. Didn’t try their non veg dishes but they looked good. They have generous portion size. You may wanna ask about spice level based on your pallet. Most dishes had good amount of spice in them. Definitely recommend. Cocktails were great too.

This is by far one of my favorite Indian restaurants. The menu items are extremely creative from the appetizers, the main menu items to the drinks. You can tell that the staff is extremely proud of their restaurant. The service was amazing. Our server was very attentive, enthusiastic and made our dinner very enjoyable. I don’t say this much about restaurants, but all the items were perfect! A few items that really stood out were the chili chicken and cauliflower appetizers. If you have never been here I highly recommend you try it! You won’t be disappointed

I had dinner here and unfortunately, the ambiance was the only part I truly enjoyed. I started with the paneer pakora, which had a slightly sour taste—I initially assumed it might be from mild green chutney filling. However, when the saag paneer arrived, it became clear the paneer itself had gone sour and was still being served. When I brought it up to the staff, they insisted the paneer was made in-house and fine, but I requested a replacement of dal makhani. Unfortunately, the dal had a sweetish, paneer makhani-like flavor and tasted very similar to the kind I’ve had at many other places – seems pre-made or some bulk-bought versions—not very in-house made or authentic. The naan, however, was good—surprisingly large and fresh.

Absolutely incredible dining experience! This Indian restaurant exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting decor set the mood for a great evening. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences.
The portions were generous, and everything tasted authentic, just like a home-cooked meal. The quality of ingredients really stood out.

I absolutely loved my experience at Flambe! The service was excellent and the food was made to perfection. I had the chance to try their specialty Flambe Skewers and I was not disappointed! Not only do they perfect in taste but they also perfect in presentation. This a great restaurant for family night or date night! The vibes are immaculate and the decor is stunning! I would definitely go here again and try all the fusion dishes they have on their menu!

Really loved this Indian place! Good food and so fun to see the flambé skewers! We had the flambé chicken, garlic naan and fish curry. They all tasted so good. Hope they can open up a location closer to downtown Chicago.

Surprising!
Impression of Atmosphere
Located within a strip mall, the grey paint feels a bit office-like but the multitude of colorful hanging umbrellas, artwork and lighting make the place feel inviting and classy. Cloth napkins, waitstaff presented in black clothing and extremely tidy appearance; I’d say camera ready. Of note, smallwares are definitely different than many other Indian restaurants. I actually appreciate the food isn’t served tableside in metal serving bowls. Overall a very organized and clean establishment.
The Food
Wow. It’s clearly well thought out. Other places I’ve been to feel a bit lower scale, sloppy and greasy however Flambe India comes across as higher tier and fresh. Food is craveable. The naan was huge with the perfect amount of fluffy softness and crisp. Honestly a show stopper. The raita, which I usually skip, was impeccably delicious. Tamarind and chutney seemed standard but good. You must order rice as a side dish and there are several profile options. I recommend the cumin rice. Lovely basmati and perfectly seasoned. Cocktails were expertly prepared and did not start with bottom shelf brands.
Service
Well-mannered but could be more attentive. Our table felt mildly 3rd place in comparison to a larger group party. There were plenty of waitstaff but I prefer people perform table touches versus customer having to flag someone to come over to table.
Pricing
Higher than other Indian establishments but definitely worth treating yourself to nicer atmosphere and quality food.
Recommendation
I don’t hesitate to recommend and will go back to taste other offerings.

As an Indian I do have higher expectations for Indian food. This restaurant only hit the medium expectations. The garlic naan was really delicious but the chicken curry (mom’s chicken curry) was better than the other one that we ordered. The fried fish did taste delicious with all the masalas that was used but it could have definitely been better. The tandoori chicken was cooked a little too much.
The service was good but the naan did take a lot more time when we ordered it the second time but the manager was kind enough to work with us.
Mango ice cream was really good as well.
Golden fried shrimp is highly recommended

I have ordered food from here (to go) before and I really enjoyed it. However, this time the kadai paneer was very disappointing. The gravy was tasting like tomato paste, no flavors and the peppers weren’t cooked well. The other two dishes were well done. We had dal tadka and gobhi pakora. Hats off to the chef for an amazing work. The gobhi pakoras (fritters) were crunchy and delicious. They tasted great even after 40 minutes of pick up.
Pros:
Large food portion (value for money)
Friendly service
Flexibility to include vegan options (they replaced ghee with oil in the dal)
Cons:
Inconsistent taste/preparation
