How exciting to find a Salvadorian Cuisine Restaurant during our travels.
Serves typical authentic dishes. Great service, food is thoroughly cooked. We had all our favorite dishes and drinks for under $75.

Great Until…
Spotted a small restaurant we hadn’t tried and decided to give it a try. We were the first and only customers in the restaurant. I was elated to find out the menu offered Salvadoran food which meant I could order pupusas! Great food and service until the phone rang and the focus of the only server changed to “take out orders”. After the server cleared our dishes we expected the check but that turned into a challenge. After waiting awhile requesting the check the first time obviously irritated the waitress.
Started watching her for signs that she was working on the check but interacting with kitchen staff seemed to be her primary concern and then she disappeared into the kitchen. I finally went up to the cash register and waited, then waited some more. When she finally came back I told her that prior to the waiting for check the restaurant would have been due a 5 star rating but, due to the loss of interest in the only seated customers reduced the rating. Her eyes flared with anger and she responded that they “needed to take care of the carry out orders”. So be it but we won’t be back. Fortunately there are other Salvadoran restaurants around.

My first time eating here was amazing! Food is delicious and much more authentic than any other restaurant like it. Servings are plentiful and I have enough leftover for dinner tonight. I had a wonderful conversation with other customers, and one very nice man sat down at my booth, with guitar in hand, and asked If he could sing me song. That was a first and such a delightful experience.

We stopped by today to grab a bite to eat and the meal was excellent. We started with an order yuca fries and these were crispy and tasty. We then got two pupusas which were a special and about $1 cheaper. Both pupusas were great, perfectly cooked and with plenty of filling. We ended by splitting their beef rib soup and again, it was excellent. We got plenty of beef rib meat, along with veggies and a side of tortillas. Overall the visit to Flaka’s did not disappoint and I plan on visiting again. Great job Flakas!!!

I have been coming here for their 10/10, phenomenal and mouth watering SOPA DE MONDONGO !!! I became friends with everyone in here. The fact that as soon as I walk in that door they already know what I am going to get. That is pretty impressive. That’s what you call an outstanding service! (basically I am a regular kinda thing hahaha)
Please be very understanding that when they are busy, be patient as they are trying their best to accommodate everyone here.

New restaurant in town and everything was excellent. The service was prompt, friendly, and accurate. The food was amazing! We can’t wait to try everything on the menu. Best horchata I think I’ve had. They make their strawberry lemonade fresh and it was so delicious. The food was full of flavor and reasonably priced. My favorite was the jumbo shrimp. So tasty! We will definitely be back!

I started coming here because I charge my EV at the nearby Sheetz. You can’t always find a decent restaurant near the charger. Flaka’s is just 2 blocks from the charger. This wasn’t just good, it’s exceptional. I’d never come across Salvadoran cuisine before and breakfast was delicious. The waitress couldn’t have been nicer. We were the first customers of the day and she comped our coffee. I’m looking forward to our next trip this way

Great food and service here and not much else to say than that. Not a fast food joint, so settle in while your food is prepared. It is a smaller place with a couple of large TVs (Spanish sports, low noise).
Anyway, I enjoyed my pork ribs while my wife liked the shrimp and pupusas she ordered.
Would go back.
