My first time visiting this beautiful place, and the experience was 10/10.

For the main course, I ordered fried fish with red bean rice and sweet plantains. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside, perfectly seasoned and full of flavor.

The oxtail with rice and red beans was also a hit: the meat was tender, and the sauce had a deep, well-balanced flavor.

For starters, we tried the spicy shrimp with traditional Jamaican patties; the spice was balanced, and everything had an authentic Jamaican taste.

We also had two cocktails: one was more refreshing, with a hint of mint, and the other had a stronger, more intense profile. Both were well prepared and perfectly complemented the meal.

We will definitely be coming back.

Passed by this place for years. Been to the Goodwill, Tool store, & UPS several times, even the Auto Parts store near-I always overlook this place. Next to a Barbershop. I finally checked the menu online and saw they had a good layout. Caribbean vibes. Fried fish, Lamb, oxtails, Chicken, Pasta, Mini meat pies, good dessert options. For a small spot, I can feel the good effort. Nice lighting, seats, decoration, waiters have good personality and family feel.

I wanted Bread Pudding- some desserts were out but luckily this was in. Good reviews on the cornbread so I ordered two. The bag was heavy so I knew they didn’t skimp on portion for $22. Took a while-there was a super large party ahead of me so I didn’t trip. Wish I would’ve ordered something after sitting a bit. Nice bar area, space for a DJ, lil front seating area, nice booths, small, clean appearance.

Sit down restaurant feel w/restaurant prices-Didn’t know what to expect inside. I would bring a date or have a business meeting here.

Cornbread-great look and size, too sweet like cake. I’d prefer this same look & size but less sweet-more country style. Bright orange colored butter-unique.

Bread Pudding-great look and size, Too dense and str8 up bread taste. Maybe add Peach inside w/caramel sauce or raisins & pineapple with sauce. I’d like that instead of the ice cream provided-much appreciated.

I want to come back to try oxtails, wings and fries. I wonder how their speed is on a normal day. It was thick on a Saturday. Check them out & support. Good to discover another food option on this side of town.

Not sure who’s cooking for Happy Hour,
but we won’t return. Normally the food is delicious! I ordered the jerk and fries for Happy Hour and was disappointed. The chicken was burnt and dry (smelled/looked burnt) and the fries were from the bottom of the bag (ready to throw away). The waitress asked me did I expect them to remove the little fries from the bag (that they attempted to hide under the longer fries on my plate). I explained that for presentation purposes, that would probably have been their best bet, because once I saw the hidden fries, I then began to focus on what else was wrong with the plate leading me to the burnt chicken, not to mention the Happy Hour chicken wings had feathers on them, covered in sauce.

I love this place, the food was amazing. Only problem was my cauliflower was too soft but I really enjoyed, the spring rolls, peas and rice, and the plantains. Very clean reasturant and staff was very pleasant. There is a restaurant service fee and automatic gratuity added to your bill.

Clearly who ever didn’t see my picture , I don’t lie $16.50 plus tax, 2 plates I spent $40 bucks , I called 3 times no answer, I even sent message to number that text me about my order, in the pic you see 2 lil pieces of chicken makes about 1 piece , what I gotta lie about? I’m not hurting , so I took it as a lesson , I didn’t ask for a refund , I don’t own a restaurant, why lie? I tried to reach out , before this , so blame yourself? Not me , this is my review , but to say I’m lying is crazy, I wish your restaurant well, GOD BLESS YOU

This place has a good ambiance. The server was attentive. My appetizers (wings and catfish butes ordered Friday night during their 4-7 pm happy hour) came out relatively quickly. The catfish bites were cooked to order. The wings were fried a bit hard. I ordered the sweet chili ones. They packed a bit of flavor. Most of the flavor came from the sauce. Our server was friendly. It was a male with a medium afro and Caribbean accent. I do not think he gave his name. They played a range of music which I enjoyed. It was not too loud and you could hold a conversation and dance at the same time. I will return to try their other dishes. I ordered a lemon drop and tasted more lemon juice than anything.

Love
Authentic Jamaican flavors at their finest! The jerk chicken had the perfect balance of spice and smokiness, and the curry chicken was great. The rice and peas were cooked to perfection, and the plantains were sweet and caramelized just right. The staff was friendly, making sure we felt right at home. If you’re looking for real Jamaican food with great portions and an inviting atmosphere, this is the place to be! Rum punch with a authentic vibes!

Went for happy hour. Waitresses and hostesses were welcoming and kind. I enjoyed the music. The cornbread was good, but the butter was a strange texture. I think it was Perfect with just the honey. My drink was fine, I got the rum punch. What really made a strong impression were the catfish “nuggets”. They weren’t actually nuggets. Seemed like a frozen filet that they cut and serve. The catfish had 0 taste. I tried salt & pepper & I tried jerk sauce but something was off. I ate 1.5 piece and it just tasted like they weren’t seasoned at all. My waitress went to ask about taking them off the check and she let me know that the manager stated they were unable to do so. I found that strange when it’s clear I didn’t like them and I’m not sure why a manager wouldn’t come share that information on their own. Luckily they were only $5, but that makes me wonder about what would’ve happened if I bought a full cost item instead. Maybe their quality is different outside of happy hour. Don’t think I’ll go back though, but I hope they can continue to improve.
